What did people think? I thought there were some funny buts, but it was a bit slower than usual somehow. I did like how aerial shots of the city have been replaced with the suburbs Grin

Hopefully it will get going! I wonder if it'll be a bit like Outnumbered with the children.

I love Not Going Out, but was certain this was going to be rubbish. I actually enjoyed it, which was a pleasant surprise. Pleased that the children weren't the centre of things.

How old are they, though? They all looked about the same age!

I wasn't sure what to expect, but I also enjoyed it. The kids didn't feature as much as I thought they might. I'm looking forward to next week's episode, Bobby Ball is in it (Lee's dad).

It made me laugh ( and better than mrs browns boys which is always on lately) but they only got married a few years back and the kids were 6 or 7 ? Seemed a bit surreal. I guessed straight away about the anniversary! Her dad is funny though. Loved that bathroom ..
I liked the old ones with Miranda and tim vine.

Did I miss a couple of series or has it just suddenly jumped from them being housemates to suddenly being married and having three kids (yet barely ageing a year in the process)!?

Its jumped about 7 odd years. Lol. (Its a comedy about time travel!)

They got married christmas 2015 i think. No children. They must have either adopted , or had them all along in their bedrooms ( like they do in soaps)

It's jumped ahead 8yrs Ineed

I was'nt overly enthused by it, but it's on series link so won't give up on it yet.

I was a bit disappointed that Lee had a job and Lucy had given up her career. I kinda wanted him to be a bit of a crap stay at home Dad.

Glad I haven't missed any series at least. I have always really liked this show.

I didn't enjoy last night's episode as much but maybe I need time to adjust to the new setup!

I thought it was completely unfunny and that Lee Mack came across as quite nasty really and the messy house annoyed me

It's jumped 7 years and the oldest boy is meant to be 7 and then five year old twins.

I watched it last night, but not sure that I enjoyed it that much. Let's hope it gets better.

Bring back Daisy - I love her!

I thought it was rubbish - had been really looking forward to it

I thought it was great. I was expecting to be disappointed because I'd loved the old series so much and it was jumping forward so many years, but I thought it worked. My favourite series were with Tim Vine, but not Miranda. I've only ever liked her in Call the Midwife.

We switched off after 5 minutes as it was very dull, and I LOVE Lee Mack and I loved the old series
Sounds like maybe it picked up a bit but the beginning was very cliched and unfunny.

It was a little sluggish but I think that it'll improve. If the kids feature too much it'll be dull.

I loved Tim vine too.
Katy wix was brilliant but she's obviously moved on to bigger and better things .... Her fergie in the windsors is fabulous!!

Thought it was still funny. And was very glad their house was messy.

I thought it was a bit stilted, but hopefully it'll warm up. I love Lee Mack.

Hoping there won't be too much emphasis on the children.

It was okay once I got over the whole time travel thing. Still prefer them in the flat arguing with Tim Vine appearing too though. I don't deal with change very well 😂😂

My favourite ever NGO moment was Lee & Tim's duet of " I Know him so well" (which quickly turned into "Ace of Spades" when they realised that they had an audience.)

Mine is when they are in the pub and a young lady tells Lee that she thinks he's her father and Tim is on Karaoke doing Cilla's Surprise Suprise 😂😂

Just caught up on this.
Can anyone help me identify the house/ set? It's bugging me! It's either the same or very similar to another old sitcom (redecorated but layout is the same I think) but I can't think what it was... My DH thought the same.
Is it just us or does it remind you of the house in a different sitcom? Confused
Probably just us or it will come to me in the middle of the night!

We thought it was like the Roseanne house?

Yeah, the set looked very familiar to me too. It reminded me of 2 Point 4 Children - same position of the front door, sitting room and stairs and the downstairs was open plan.

Did anyone else think that the kids stuff in the background appeared to be too young for the actual children?
Some of the toys/pics appeared to be pre schoolers.

GirlOverboard you are officially a star! That was it... it bugged me all last night. Thank you! Grin
