I know there are a few of us who set our recorders to get this daytime series when it's on, so thought I'd let you know that a new series starts on Monday 7 November at 2:15pm on BBC1. Glowing comments in Radio Times!

I planned my lunch/sit down around this today and was disappointed that it was moved to 3.30pm due to US election coverage. I wasn't mad about Mondays but really enjoyed the story of the mother whose son was 'moving on' and the impact on her, even shed a tear at the end. The stories have always attracted a great cast of established actors and the writing is spot on. I'd watch this prime time.

I've only watched the one about the Afghan boy and his British foster family, which was very moving but spoilt by Peter Barlow from Coronation St being in it! My recorder appears to have been baffled by the move of today's programme - I'll have to get it on iPlayer. Hope to be able to particpate in discussions when I catch up at the weekend.

Just watched the one called Zero - excellent! Thankfully I have no direct experience of zero hours contracts but was aware of the one-sided unfairness of such an arrangement. This drama put some meat on the bones of my view - decent people doing all they can to support themselves being subject to this sort of employment. I'll probably watch it again.

Anybody watch today's?

Episode 4 - Our House

Omg I know exact how Kathy feels!

It's been eight years since I was used and conned. I can't get over my hurt pride and he also capitalised upon my lonliness.

Brilliant true to life drama.

Yes just watched it, I wish these dramas were on everyday they're great. Today's nearly had me in tears. How can people be so stupid for a bit of flattery!! 😭

'Zero' was thought provoking and insightful, so relevant considering the Sports Direct thing. I will catch up on today's at the weekend. I'm sure I'll cry Susie if you found it sad, I blub at anything!

Zero was an eye opener. It's terrible that companies can get away with treating employees like that.

I watched Our House and enjoyed it, but wasn't moved to tears like Sole and Susie - I found Zero was more moving. Looking forward to seeing this week's episodes.

Really enjoyed Our House last week but would be so grateful if someone could explain the ending as I missed a few minutes answering the door. I saw Kim sitting outside Kenny's house with her daughter, missed a bit then came back when Kim and Si were smiling as a master craftsman arrived at the house. Did she manage to get the money back from Kenny? Or did her boyfriend pay for the new kitchen?

She didn't get the money back but think she found the rant outside his house gave her closure. I assume she found more money to get the house done by a professional. I didn't find it that sad mainly because that lead actress irritates me actually (as she did when she was the midwife in that other BBC drama recently).
