When? That link isn't working for me.

Will be on screen in 2018, but better late than never. Ideally they'll film 86/89 back to back.

Davros Fri 14-Oct-16 23:16:11

Excellent

Destinysdaughter Fri 14-Oct-16 23:17:53

Yay! Loved the first series. So glad there's going to be another one. 😀

Manumission Fri 14-Oct-16 23:18:57

Fabulous. I can be patient-ish.

Great news, that's made my day. I loved the first series, best thing on telly in ages.

DiegeticMuch Sat 15-Oct-16 19:38:31

Oh that's brilliant!!!

IPityThePontipines Sat 15-Oct-16 20:18:55

I feel very happy to have been the bearer of such good news. grin

Sehr gut!

NoahVale Sun 16-Oct-16 09:02:28

great news.

BeautyGoesToBenidorm Sun 16-Oct-16 09:06:13

Awesome. This does mean I'll have to get a Fire stick though - I'm not missing this!

NoahVale Sun 16-Oct-16 09:07:14

isnt it channel 4?
nope, just read link, thankfully, its Amazon

Kennington Sun 16-Oct-16 09:08:39

Great. I spoke to colleagues in our German office and they either hadn't heard of it or weren't interested! I was saying if this is the Tv quality they need to export more stuff.

NoahVale Sun 16-Oct-16 09:14:30

i dont think it was popular in germany? touched a nerve?

Hassled Sun 16-Oct-16 09:16:43

Now that is seriously good news. I loved that show. I "like" Jonas Nay on FB but as he posts in German and I have no knowledge of German it's a fairly pointless exercise.

Yay great news, thanks for sharing. Yes my family in Germany have not seen it either- we worked out that it probably aired in the summer at the same time as their version of 'the voice' (which my sister watches) and on a commercial channel my parents rarely even look at. Despite the outlandish plotline my two German immigrant(expat??) friends and I loved it, but much also from a nostalgic point of view smile

Dapplegrey1 Sun 16-Oct-16 09:18:22

Best series I've ever seen.
'Alex' should have won an award for his acting during the scene when the intelligence chap tells him things aren't what they seem. (I don't think I'm giving anything away there)
Actually, all the actors were completely brilliant. I've seen 'Tischbier' in a few other German films since.
However it's a long time to wait until 2018!

BeautyGoesToBenidorm Sun 16-Oct-16 09:31:37

I remember Tischbier in 'Goodbye Lenin!', I couldn't place him to begin with.

Archfarchnad Sun 16-Oct-16 09:45:36

I'm in Germany and haven't seen it, haven't heard it mentioned either. Might try to get hold of it now. One issue is that German TV is generally shite, so people don't take it seriously. And showing something in the summer months is akin to sticking it in the bin - nobody watches TV then. Who is the Tischbier actor?

Ginxed Sun 16-Oct-16 09:58:47

Fantastisch! Loved this, as did my German DH.

Rueben Sun 16-Oct-16 10:02:32

Yay smile

Dapplegrey1 Sun 16-Oct-16 10:09:33

Tischbier is played (brilliantly) by Alexander Beyer. As Beauty says, he was in Goodbye Lenin and also in the enjoyable Sonnenallee.
Was the West German army so infiltrated by East German spies as is the case in Deutschland 83?

HappyAxolotl Sun 16-Oct-16 10:41:05

Ausgezeichnet! grin
