Something on Netflix like homeland?

With proper suspense, curveballs etc and a real 'can't tear yourself away' storyline? Is there anything on there like that?

Have tried house of cards twice and just not getting into it. Have watched first 3 episodes of designated survivor and enjoying it but it's not coming fast enough! Grin

Dexter. It's brilliant.

Narcos

However, what I've found is trying to find something too similar is a wasted exercise. You need to mourn the loss of that particular niche of show and move on.....I've found moving to a totally different genre helps with the grieving process.

Scorpion is quite good too. Loving designated survivor. What about white collar?

Um on the vein that nothing is quite the same as Homeland, I found The Good Wife was good for helping me get over Homeland.

Fuck Homeland though, it seriously messed my emotions about. What a cracking show, I still have mixed feelings about it since it messed my head about so much! Grin

Designated Survivor with Kiefer Sutherland, I'm only 3 episodes in but I'm hooked.

Yes to this! Grin it was torturous! I still miss earth angel Jonas Blush

Watched narcos and loved it.

Haven't seen any of the others so thank you all. I think I'll try the good wife first.

Oh and can I thoroughly recommend "spotless" for anyone who hasn't seen it. Sucked me right in. Very funny at points too.

Fargo I watched and struggled with. I persevered but won't be watching the next season. The accent really irritated me Grin

The killing was brilliant!

I think I tried line of duty but wasn't really keen. Might try it again just to be sure.

I tried 'How to Get Away with Murder' but didn't get past episode 3or 4. Might give it another try, I'm also struggling to find something I can get sucked into.

For anyone still missing Homeland, I started watching American Odyssey with Anna Friel last night and it's brilliant! I'm 4 episodes in already. She is fantastic in it. She's no Damian Lewis, granted Wink but she gives him a run for his money.

I loved the first three series of Homeland, but just can't get into series 4 at all.
Did anyone else feel the same but persevere?
The Killing was brilliant!

Yes cherry I felt the same. I was on the MN homeland threads at the time and a lot of people felt that way too. Personally I think homeland was done when brody died. That was its natural conclusion. His and Carrie's relationship was the focal point of the show, when that ended there was nothing to hold the viewers' attention. Yes there were some great episodes in the later seasons but overall it didn't impress me. I persevered but I have to say, towards the end it was more of a chore. Sorry!

The killing was awesome. Season 1 better than 2 but great ending. (I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't watched)

Brody's death haunted me, both because I was positive he'd be saved, but also the way he died.
Doesn't fit your criteria but Whitechapel is one of my favourite series.

I'm sure that dh told me last night just as I was drifting off to sleep that a new season of Homeland is being released on Netflix soon. Please someone tell me I wasn't dreaming...

You MUST watch Orphan Black! It is brilliant and you won't be able to stop watching Grin First season is probably the best but they are all wonderful. You'll understand my gushing praise when you watch ...

The Lost Honour of Christopher Jeffries is extremely well done.
