Last nights episode was the only one this series that i ahve actually been able to follow from start to finish.
DH reckons Grace took off so she could go and film that last episode of the Royle Family

Funny - its the only episode that Ive been able to follow too!

Must mean acid flashbacks make more sense than your average episode of WTD

I thought the actor (Miles Anderson) was brilliant at the end of last night's episode - when he kept asking his brother "what did you do?". It had obviously never occurred to him what had happened. Best story this series!

AT LAST - a good one. The last few have been really difficult to follow, and this was back on form, imo.

Oh I mised last nights!!!!! so what happened - was it the other brother or what?

Report
lizziemun · 06/02/2007 11:57

Yes the other brother killed his parents during a bad acid trip.

The brother did kill the man found in the garden.

the nephew was displaying the same mental problems as his uncle.

I actually found this a bit hazy in places - must have been the acid

I mean the nephew was supposedly suffering the same symptoms as his uncle but then at the end we discover that although he did punch his mother and kill the other bloke (after acid trip) that he didn't actually murder them and as he'd been kept on drugs all those years surely its hard to say if he was really ill or not. In which case where did the nephews symptoms fit in - other than making the point that its as much about what we beleive when it comes to mental illness! No-one seemed to notice that the nephews reaction was to extreme bullying!

And the way that leaf fitted into it all. If she had been treating him for years and years you'd think she'd have looked a bit more like her former self when she first treated him so it would have sparked something.

And what about the other chap who got murdered. At the end it was as if the chap who had supposedly murdered his parents was exonerated but really he was still a murderer, albeit as part of an experient which went wrong. And how the hell did the Dr who caused the whole thing manage to set up a squat with all these patients and stop all their meds etc and no-one noticed. I mean presumably he still kept on his dayjob. Did nobody notice he was living in a squat!

Still love this series though
