It's on in the background - haven't recognised a single person yet...

The girl playing Hyacinth has her mannerisms down to a tee. Always had a soft spot for Mrs Bucket coz she reminds me of someone in the family. Enjoying it so far.

Is it by Roy Clarke? He also wrote a prequel for Last of The Summer Wine, in the same vein as this, which I enjoyed much more than the actual LOTSW.

The actress is incredible- and she's Russell Howard's sister!

I'm so disappointed that these are one offs... This last hour has been fab!

I loved it and totally agree that Kerry Howard was brilliant, I hope there's more and they're just teasing with the 'one-off' Smile

Oh are they all one offs? Watched Goodnight Sweetheart as it was something that we watched a long time ago and really enjoyed it to my surprise. Must find Hyacinth on catch up. Do we all have one of these in our family?

Another thumbs up. Thoroughly enjoyed that and Kerrie Howard has the mannerisms perfect. I'd love to see how William becomes Richard.

Enjoyed Goodnight Sweetheart too, though I hated the rejigged theme tune! I missed the very last episode of the original series due to a power cut so I never did find out what happened and how it was left.

Ooh, I loved Goodnight Sweetheart too. It was great, basking in the warm glow of nostalgia. Hope they both get full series.

These two were a lot better than the Are You Being Served? and Porridge rehashes last week.

Just caught Young Hyacinth, brilliantly done, thank you for flagging it up for me.

I was very annoyed at the Goodnight Sweetheart theme tune, why mess with that?

It's funny, taken me back to the time when we watched pretty crap TV religiously in it's time slot because there was nothing else. It seems so much better in some ways than now when we drag something up online and binge watch until we are sick of it. Although I will probably have a twitch about Keeping Up Appearances until I am old and grey!

I'm re watching Goodnight Sweetheart at the moment. It's on every night on Forces TV (Sky 264)

I'd love them to continue it on, and Young Hyacinth should definitely be made into a series.

I loved goodnight sweetheart. I have them all on DVD. In last series he got stuck in the west end flat when a blast went off which closed the time hole. But Ron was living in and decorating the flat in modern time so he pulls some wall paper off wall and writes Ron I'm stuck tell her everything. Which he does as he finds it next day.

Thought they did modern day very well even since 90s it's all changed so much. Though would been good if he had done something apart from just worked in the pub! Would love to have done more

Did anyone else think they'd got rose and daisy mixed up?
