Gregg may be ok but John Torode is revolting, particularly the way he eats eurgh!!! What I don't understand is if these people are so keen to be chef's why they don't just go and get a job in a professional kitchen, it's not that hard the industry is always short staffed.

they make one meal and then get labelled as xx who likes to be adventurous with spices xx the wannabe french gastronome etc

what pisses me off is that they send them to the professional kitchen then seem to disregard what happens - I know they voted through the woman yesterday who did well in the kitchen, but on Wednesday, the bloke who did well in the kitchen, who I thought was far better than Sharif, was voted off!

This is Peter's step-daughter here. I can't believe that I have happened upon this post as I am horrified that you think MC 2006 was a fix and that is because I work in television!

Lets get things straight. I USED to work in television, on Top Gear, about as far from Masterchef as you can get. I wasn't working there at the time of Masterchef, I live in Cyprus now!!! Also Masterchef is made by Shine Television, not the BBC. I have NOTHING to do with them!!

Since he won I have been desprately trying to fight battles against the nasty things that have been said about an honest, talented and horribly misrepresented man. Having worked in TV I would advise people against going on these shows as they edit them to create the drama, they do not care about the contestants. To save time, have a look at this to see what we have had to put up with and my responses.
