Best British Series

So I was just flicking around Netflix and saw Vincent Franklin in Twenty Twelve- which got me thinking about how amazing he was in last years Cucumber on Channel 4. I honestly think that was one of the best things I've ever seen on telly ever... I love well written and well acted British TV comedies and dramas and Cucumber blew my socks off.

So what have your favourite British series been? I would love recommendations for things I've not seen.

For me my top five have to be:

I could continue with lots of others (especially great comedies- Cuckoo, The Inbetweeners, Catastrophe) but those five are the series that I immediately think of when I think of great British TV.

Pride and Prejudice (Firth version)
