S2 E3 and i'm not impressed with this series so far. S1 was excellent, watched it all in a night.

Persevere, it does get much much much better. S2 is a bit dull, but the other seasons more than make up for it!

Yeah, season 2 kind of chugs along at 5mph for a while. It picks up towards the end, though, and season 3 onwards is mostly much more exciting.

There are still some great bits in S2 though!

Definately persevere.
The series is a lot more about the characters and how they are surviving in a alien world not just about fighting zombies. What they have to do to survive, how they rationalise their actions, how they live with thier actions (not so easily sometimes) How they cope with finding a safe haven but at what price? How do you accept a group of stangers to live on your front lawn when you dont agree with thier views at all?

You need to know the characters and how they evolve and grow to appreciate how things impact on them further along the series and in other series.

There are some deep issues in season 2 and some dramatic events too. Dont give up, just have hankies at the ready as its pretty emotional at times.

Yes, persevere Op. I found that it doesn't really get going til S3. Gets a bit more complex. I cannot wait til October for new season. Have been moaning at DH that there's nowt on TV to watch lol.

Yes - best thing on TV by far! Can't wait until October for the new season to start.

I have up after season 3 but have come back to it and I'm glad I have. Now on season 5 and it's really good.

No.

I renamed it The Boring Dead around series 4 and haven't yet felt the need to change it back.

If you like season one then persevere with season 2. I seem to remember hearing it was a money thing for that season so they just concentrated on developing the characters. I love the last few episodes of season 2. It's the first time I cried in it.

Season 2 is the slowest one but its worth perservering as its one of the few shows that get better with each season.

Series 1&2 are my favourite it can be slow at times but it tries to be realistic rather than all walkers sex and guns.

I don't like to watch too many episodes on than trot though as the post apocalyptic theme is a bit of a downer😨😥😧😰
I find something light hearted helps to bring ones mood back up😋🌞

You could pretty much skip out everything up to the second half of the last-but-one series and save yourself a lot of tedium. I have never got so frustrated with a TV show as I did with TWD. Homeland might be the only one on a par for being great than mind-bendingly dull.

Gets better and then gets much worse. PP naming it Boring Dead has it right. Every storyline is basically the same one rehashed. Gave up at series 3, never going back

Do why did you bother watching it if you thought it was so bad?

Its not just about killing zombies. Its a lot more indepth than that its about how people react to their new circumstances, to each other, what they are prepared to do to survive in the world, how other people can be more dangerous than zombies, relationships, horror, loss, moving on.

Its not just a hack and slash. It would be very boring if it was you need contrast and some lighter (albeit very few) moments too.

Why stick with it? The most recent series has mainly been a return to form. Plus: Wink
