I'm watching.

It's devastating, and to know this is just one family out of thousands. And that this is a 'lucky' family who've been granted asylum etc.

Just watched it on catch up. My eyes were filling up through most of it. Such heartbreak, such fear and uncertainty. No one should have to go through what they went( and still go) through. And yes, they are the lucky ones :( There is so much sadness in the Mum's and oldest girl's eyes, it's hard to watch.

It was so wonderful to see the children making friends and doing well at school though. The Mum so needed someone to talk to and to befriend her. Their home and town in Germany is beautiful, but she is heartbroken, the poor woman. I wish them a safe and good future and hope, at least they get some news as to whether Ali Abu is dead or alive. Not knowing is torment.

How in heaven's name Cameron and crew had to have their arms twisted to accept unaccompanied child refugees into the UK is beyond me. All he needed to do was think about any of his own DC is such a horrendous situation.

Just finished watching it. Very moving so sad. When the mother sad that Daesh "has stolen their entire lives and that they deformed the image of their religion to the whole world" I thought was so poignant Sad
