Do these people agree to have the footage shown? Do they get a healthy wad of cash to do it?

Ledkr Wed 27-Apr-16 21:29:54

I just thought the same yes.
It's hard to watch isnt it? What a dangerous guy.

WhoTheFuckIsSimon Wed 27-Apr-16 21:36:38

I feel a bit sick. I assume if someone is found guilty then they have no choice in the matter??

RedMapleLeaf Wed 27-Apr-16 21:39:46

I think if they are found guilty they can't prevent the footage being shown. There was a "twist" in series 1 when this (plus the weight of evidence) led viewers to believe that a man shown was going to be found guilty, only for him to be found innocent in court. He still gave permission for the programme to be shown.

RedMapleLeaf Wed 27-Apr-16 21:40:43

The investigating officers seem a bit unprofessional tonight.

Palomb Wed 27-Apr-16 21:40:58

It's just incomprehensible isn't it sad

QueenLaBeefah Wed 27-Apr-16 21:43:30

Had to turn over.

Felt very sorry for his wife. Imagine the police searching your house and you have absolutely no idea why.

RedMapleLeaf Wed 27-Apr-16 21:45:07

I too feel very sorry for his wife. This would be the last thing that would occur to any of us.

RedMapleLeaf Wed 27-Apr-16 21:45:45

I'm afraid I don't have any sympathies for the vigilantes.

Palomb Wed 27-Apr-16 21:45:58

It'd feel like such a massive violation of personal space wouldn't it. Poor woman.

Palomb Wed 27-Apr-16 21:47:00

The scale of this this just amazes me. All these perverted men! They all want hanging.

RedMapleLeaf Wed 27-Apr-16 21:47:08

It'd feel like such a massive violation of personal space wouldn't it.

Yes, like she said, all of the embarrassing stuff. You like to think that your laptop, underwear drawers etc are all private places.

RedMapleLeaf Wed 27-Apr-16 21:47:51

I wonder how the wife is going to react when she finds out sad

apple1992 Wed 27-Apr-16 21:51:06

I feel like she might already know.

RedMapleLeaf Wed 27-Apr-16 21:52:15

Yes, I am wondering if I'll feel as sympathetic by the end of the programme.

noteasilyfooled Wed 27-Apr-16 21:59:07

It must be so difficult to stay professional when faced with people like him. I really don't know how people like Jo do their job. Thank god they do though

WhoTheFuckIsSimon Wed 27-Apr-16 21:59:31

I was so cross at the solicitor when he told the police officer to stop asking questions!! How bloody dare he! It's her job. Surely the whole point of an interview is you get asked awkward questions.

RedMapleLeaf Wed 27-Apr-16 22:00:51

Ach, had to miss the ending. Were the two men found guilty and given prison sentences?

WhoTheFuckIsSimon Wed 27-Apr-16 22:02:21

The large one was, he got 28 months.

I also missed some of the end so not sure about anyone else.

Knotnora Wed 27-Apr-16 22:08:18

I've just had a look at that Chris Fear's Facebook account. wow.

Nothiittoday Wed 27-Apr-16 22:09:50

Not wow in a good way. But wow in a how do people live with that level of fear.

PeaceLoveAndJaffaCakes Wed 27-Apr-16 22:11:05

The older guy got 15 months and sex offenders register. We watched Eastenders first and DH thought it was the paedophile hour on TV confused
He hates watching it but I love anything to do with the emergency services/police/hospitals etc.
I thought last week's episode was very sad.

RoomForASmallOne Wed 27-Apr-16 22:11:40

I remember the footage from Chris Fear confronting him being posted on FB last year.

GreenMarkerPen Wed 27-Apr-16 22:13:27

I find those vigilante types a bit creepy tbh.
so much scope for error.

ClashCityRocker Wed 27-Apr-16 22:16:13

I did feel sorry for the wife. 'He's a good bloke, he's never beaten me up'....makes you wonder what her previous partners are like.

I find it ridiculous though that he had walked in, admitted what he'd done, admitted that he found young girls attractive, the horrifying FB conversations and the images found on the laptop...and it was still touch and go whether they could prosecute.
