I'm halfway through episode four (no spoilrs please) of season one.
I'm amazed at the way such a dark and depressing series has me gripped already. And there's something about David Tennant's character and Olivia Colman's and the way they relate (or fail to relate) The dynamic is really interesting - the way she invites him to dinner because she feels she has to. The way she asks if she can call him by his first name and he says "I never liked Alec. A-lec" and she and her husband just exchange looks as if to say "well, what the fuck do we call you then?" "See, when I look at you, you know I'm taking to you, I don't have to keep repeating your name to create false intimacy". Had me laughing out loud, surprisingly.
