maybe just jocko-land, then?
it was totally bizarre, i watched the opening credits and then nothing, zilcho, rien de rien.

is david t lovely? is he funny? is he oddly attractive despite the fact that he looks a lot like a rat?

It's simply the most fantastic television programme I have ever seen!

it's discussing the myths and legends of Tintagel.

BF and I were reminiscing about late night R4 shows when we were in our teens. Fry and Laurie did one, and then there was the unforgettable 'Star Terk' (!), and 'Whose Line Is It Anyway'.

It was caller The Saturday Night Fish Fry - remember the theme tune?
i used to record it.
and there was another one with helen lederer, nick someone and clive mantle... loved that.

We recorded them too. We found the blank tapes, with our teenage scribble on them, along with reams and reams of comedy scripts we'd written! Saturday Night Fry, that's it!

that's the one! good to meet a fellow geek.

there was also a late night cabaret show called something like 'room at the top' (but not that), which used to make my heart sink a bit cos it was shit.

you know that greeny knows all the words to all the Blackadder shows, don't you?

We used to - but not series one because Ben Elton wasn't involved!

I loved Ben Elton.

i actually used to think that i would marry him some day. he was funny, wasn't he?
i also taped (on my tape recorder, not a video) series 2 and beyond of Blackadder.
are we actually the same person?

My BF painted me a HUGE black and white portrait of Ben Elton for my 18th birthday.
It stayed on my bedroom wall all through uni!
I finally donated it to (an extremely lucky IMO) charity shop last year - it had been on the wall in the spare bedroom for years.
The children thought it was of some obscure relative!
Did you also worship the Monty Python team?

Oh, just remembered that we have all the Friday Night Live and Saturday Night Live shows taped - also on audio tape not video tape.
(My Dad was sure Betamax would take off, and VHS was for losers! )

i did. but actually i went off them when i got to uni and i found out who else liked them. i'd hardly seen any on telly, tbh, i just used to buy the scripts. in fact i can see a copy of the brand new papperbook from where i sit...
