Might just need to tune in to see how Joey gets on. Not fussy on Chris Evans so wasn't planning on watching new show, but you gotta love Joey!

I love Matt LeBlanc. I will certainly be watching to see how it goes.

I MLB. I will be watching. I used to enjoy TG in the earlier years but it had become totally shit. I'll look forward to it now.

Brilliant (and surprising) addition. Pretty inspired casting.

Since Episodes I'm a bit of a fan of Matt's.

i think i know why they put him in chris evans is not enough they have to get a big nice star involved especially with all the bad publicity around evans and his antics

Er, what does this mean? You don't mind watching it or you don't plan to watch it?

Oh I love MlB too (especially after Episodes where is totally self deprecatingly brilliant)

Very surprising announcement! And interesting.

I loved in him episodes never liked friends much. May give it a watch but really liked the old ones so not to sure plus Chris Evans does my head in.

No way! That's a bit interesting. May actually watch it now. If they got Aiden Turner, half the women in the country would be watching just to drool over him..! Grin

It changes things for me. I went off TG years ago and wasn't interested in the new version but I'll give it a try with lovely Matt Le B in it.

I think that's to attract more BBC America viewers as, let's face it, Chris Evans is not a known face over here. Top Gear is (or was) the jewel in BBCA's crown, along with Dr Who, and now they have to compete against Amazon's version with the original TG 3, the executives are flapping.

There's much affection for MLB in the UK since Episodes I think. I certainly like him in a whole other way. Really sharp and self deprecating (in Episodes anyway!). I still watched TG to the end and enjoyed it. I wasn't too bothered about Chris Evans in TG but now it's just got interesting.

That should attract a whole new raft of viewers (me included - loved him in Episodes.)

I bet Jeremy Clarkson is pissed off Grin

Really like Matt Le Blanc, appeals to women and men, can drive, loves cars and won't be punching any junior crew members. Class act!

Excellent. I really like the way he's prepared to take the piss out of himself in Episodes, and it really is a bit of a slap in the face for everyone who claims they can't get anyone to match Clarkson.

Seems a bit bizarre to me. My teens loved Top Gear, they aren't wildly excited by the news.
But they are holding out for Clarkson & Co TBF.

Interesting but not enough to outweigh the horror of Chris Evans for me. I loved old TG.

The last thing I heard about New Top Gear is that filming was not going well, because CE can't drive and talk to the camera at the same time.
