Is it my imagination or is this a bit of a p*ss take? The general format reminds me of the Dale Winton marries Nell thingy. Would a girlfriend really say, 'it's hard cause he's gone from way up there to doing nothing'?

I thought the production was rather hoping he'd make a tit of himself, but he came across as quite sweet. I liked the sound of his new stuff and hasn't he filled out nicely (randy wobbly old lady alert!)

Sorry to dredge up this thread again but...

I wonder how his girlfriend of 4 years felt about him saying that his mother is his best friend in the world and he loves her more than anyone? I thought it was going rather well up to that point.

munz , er not a lot basically ! He seemed much so more relaxed at his parents' house than in the designer flat with the girlfriend. He's trying to relaunch his image and career but as a pseudo Russell Brand !

Yep, and he didn't get his singing ability from his Mum. He is very close to his Mum, and I won't ridicule him for that, I hope my boys feel like that about me when they're 21. I think he's done amazingly well with his speech. When he came on to the scene on Pop Idol, I took an interest in him straight away, as my ds had speech problems from a baby up until he was about 4 or 5 due to a cleft palate. Like Gareth, my ds has also made huge progress. I didn't like his flat though, too stark and clinical, and the gf is quite brassy imo. And what was all that hoo-ha over whether or not he should wear a hat? I thought he came across well, although unsure of himself. It would be nice to see him on the music scene again soon.
