Washing machine lottery experiment - This Morning

Did anyone else see this? Basically, they washed a lottery ticket in the back of jeans in a cold wash, and then repeated the experiment with a hot wash.

In both cases, the lottery ticket came out shredded and mushed up. There was no way you could detect much info on the ticket. Phil did try to match up,some of the bar code, but the ticket was basically destroyed. Seeing it made me conclude that the lady who,is claiming the prize is making it all up.

Camelot know where and when exactly the winning ticket was bought. I doubt she'd be able to provide that info if she's lying

I'm with you on this OP.

Oh I was on holiday in Worcester and bought a ticket. The dog ate it/the baby was sick on it/it blew away into a puddle and got run over by a car

There are apparently quite a few people who bought the winning ticket. why is this story getting more coverage than any of the other claims?
