I enjoyed it and looking forward to next week. Had forgotten how gorgeous rob Lowe is!

Yes, I loved it! I was really excited having seen from the trailers that here was an end-of-the-world show with Pam from The Office, Rob Lowe and Mat from Horrible Histories. Those are three of my favourite Telly People in one of my favourite fictional scenarios Grin

So yeah, I really enjoyed it!

I didn't think it had started! Set up a series link for 3rd October. Bugger, what have I missed?

Rob lowe is hot! He even pulled off the priest smock.

Gin just who everyone is to sum it up Grin.

I'm watching too. I thought they did an excellent job of setting all the characters up last night. I particularly liked the banter/hostility between the nun and Rob Lowe. Very promising.

A bit weird but think it will develop like The Wrong Mans.

All the inappropriate thoughts i've ever had about Rob Lowe seem tame now that i've seen him dressed as a priest.

Loved it,great cast and interesting premise. Looking forward to the next episode.

I really enjoyed it.

Apparently they wanted to call it Apocalypse Slough Grin but couldn't due to the American audience.

gingercat12 · 03/10/2015 17:28

Apocalypse Slough would have been classic Grin

I thought it was quite good, I'll keep watching it as it has promise.

But if you like end of the world-type scenarios, I can't recommend The Last Man On Earth (Dave) enough - it's hilarious and brilliant!

I liked the first episode.
Yellow is the new black has sort of been done though.

Fugly - DH & I noted the budget for the new season of Last Man on Earth seems higher. This week's episode was funny and poignant in equal measure. I was Shock about the torched house.

Still, I have room in my life for more than one snappy, entertaining post-apocalyptic comedy & I'm really looking forward to next week's.

Apocalypse Slough Grin Oh my, that is a wonderful title

Daughter got me into seeing Parks & Rec and The Office (US) so wanted to see them in this. Didn't remember it was the guy from Horrible Histories until she reminded me.

Thought it was very funny, good lines, good pace, looking forward to the next one.

It was clearly news to me that the hilarious Megan Mullaly who plays the Nazi prisonerwoman is married to Nik Offerman (who both DH and I love). But now I saw Nik Offerman in the preview of episode 3. [screaming]

She looks totally different, but apparently she was Tammy 2 as well in Parks & Rec, i.e. the devious librarian.

Bagel This is what happens when you watch to much amazing American comedy, doesn't it? They are all connected and so funny. DH and I keep looking for familiar faces, like Gina from Brooklyn 99 appeared for a split second in this week's Parks & Rec. Jon Stewart seems to be the main focus point, they are all less than 6-degrees of separation from him Grin

Isn't Joel Fry a great sidekick?

Finally watched and quite funny

Tho can't work out if Megan /prisoner has aged sooooo badly or is in terrific make up /prosthetic - as she was so pretty in will and grace

Blondeshavemorefun It must be make-up, although I have not seen Will & Grace.

This is Megan in Parks & rec 3 years ago and in the Apocalypse without the swastika.

I do not think even her mother would recognise her.
