Haha just because the baby isn't coming out of him doesn't mean he isn't going through labour?! er it means exactly that Grin

the dolphin people annoy me, I'm all for nature but what they're doing is just irresponsible.

The dolphin man seems very sure labour doesn't hurt, for someone who will never possibly know!

worzels I was thinking the exact same thing. Absolutely nuts - think I've just heard the woman speak for the first time now.... She seems very brainwashed.

heket's birth was beautiful. Not sure I could do the "lotus" part. Little bit too gross much like hard work for me.

I just wish that I could be as organised as kate

The dolphin man seems to know an awful lot about childbirth. He sounds like he has loads of experience of it. Def more then those silly medical professionals and the modern woman. I mean heck what do we all know about the safety of hospital births and ultrasounds?
Some of the people just sound so irresponsible. I'm all for birth choice, natural home births and minimal medical intervention when necessary but there is a reason the western developed countries have the lowest infant and maternal mortality rates in the world x
Loving the high maintenance mum though. Wish I looked that amazing!

It's good to know my labours only hurt because I was doing it all wrong. If only we had Dolphins in the Midlands!

Where did they get their money from to hang out in Hawaii for months at a time?

Hawaii couples doula/midwife person {im assuming she was an unqualified hippy} had a crystal which declared it was twins. Oddly this wasn't mentioned when later on she had a single baby girl.

Must admit, I had a slight chuckle when only one baby was born. I also, wondered how these woman can live/ visit Hawaii all the time. I also wondered what would happen if something went wrong. I felt sorry for the little girl who was super intelligent, ahead of her time and could communicate with dolphins.

Full marks to,the mum and placenta. I couldn't do that. When they were explaining it, I thought the placenta would be attached for more than three days.

Did they say how the ballerina was doing?

It was a fascinating, although slightly wacky, programme

The fruitarians frightened me. When he rang the ambulance he said the cord was coming out first. If that's true they were very very lucky.

Just watched this. Some unusual births there.

Dolphin couple - they said that they didn't have an ultrasound because there's no evidence that ultrasounds aren't harmful so why would you risk it etc.... but don't dolphins use ultrasound for navigating and stuff?

I must see this! Which channel was it on?

Report
ShadowLine · 18/09/2015 23:35

One of the Channel 4 channels. I recorded it when it was on earlier. It's being repeated again this week - 1:05am on Friday morning according to the Radio Times.

The thing that shocked me most about this was that people can eat that much fruit and veg.

Report
ShadowLine · 20/09/2015 20:17

I suppose if fruit and veg are the only things you eat, you'd have to eat an awful lot to get enough calories in?

Report
JustRosieHere · 20/09/2015 21:03

That is true but the thought of all that fruit gives me stomach ache!
