Will anyone be watching? It starts on C4 at 9. I'm in South Wales, previously in Cardiff.

Yep, just wrestled the remote off Dp.
Ds1 is going into year 8 and we watched the previous two schools before he started secondary and he was wide eyed at them.
Will be funny to see how he views the kids now he's one of them

I think it will show the behavior of the Bohunt students was 'exemplary' by comparison to what will be witnessed tonight in Educating Cardiff !.

ITV same time 'The Education Divide'

Its sad that educating essex spoiled the school. I know parents there and they all said the same, that best teachers all got headhunted and left and behaviour management went downhill.

Just turned over now. Be interesting to compare how different (or not) it'll be from life in a valleys school 30 miles away.

That's interesting bruffin. Apparently the head teacher of Willows is leaving. Possibly already left. It has improved hugely since she started.

That blonde one with the Straight hair was the same as me in school. No idea why I was there. Just a day out... Sad

Fair play to Mr Hennessey, that's dedication. Ringing Leah each morning to try and get her to school. Fair play, looks like he's really trying

I'm watching! I'd love to seem them do one of these in a primary, but obviously there would be more issues with consent etc. Also less entertaining swearing!

Uniform is shockingly bad, I'm fighting the urge to shout "hoody off and earphones out NOW" at the telly!

Mr Drew left very soon after, he got a headship elsewhere.

Uniform is really bad. You'll see the year 7s wear blazers but the rest is just not pushed at all. They are only compulsory for year 7&8 this year.

Trainers and hoodies are the norm. It was even worse when there was no shirt and tie.they are a recent addition.

Educating Essex seemed To produce more 'celebrities' than the others. The last series (Eastend??) was the least good I think.

Mr Hennesy is coming across really well.

I am enjoying the hilariously staged staff meeting.

Just me who's finding the thing with the teacher phoning and texting this student inappropriate?! Or is this the done thing now?

Maybe I'm naive but I'm wondering where Leah's parents are in all this? Why aren't they ensuring she's in school at the times she should be? Can't help but feel she is being let down in that respect. Surely it shouldn't be up to a teacher to ring and ensure she gets to school on time, although fair play to him for trying.

Watching Leah is so much like watching my daughter but without the smoking

It's really sad

Spud -have you tried getting a teen into school that doesn't want to be there?

Report

Mr Hennessy has almost made me cry. He cares so much about Leah and the other pupils.
