Anyone else watching? DH and I are really taken with it. Phil is such a carping, "do I give a fuck?" misanthrope, adding Carol was a stroke of genius. It's definitely worth a look on catch up if you've missed it. We had many guilty laughs.

We've been watching it, it gets funnier as it goes on through the season.

I don't know what to think about it yet, but it seems good Smile

The only thing that seems odd is, instead of nervously chatting up mannequins, wouldn't he have broken into the nearest sex shop and got some realistic dolls?

Yes! My people!

DH guffawed when I read him the précis for episode 3 next week in our cable guide (introduces Melissa) and we had another chuckle about it over dinner tonight. I'm really pleased to hear it gets better. We were describing the premise to our sons (10 and 7) - without the rude bits, obvs - and they agreed it was a funny idea for a show. They are disappointed it's not suitable for kids.

I don't want to give any spoilers as I've seen quite a few episodes and I'm struggling to remember the beginning! However, he does do some very funny stuff considering he can go anywhere, live in any house he wants and do what he likes!

It's one of the funniest I've watched in a while and I do watch a lot of television!

Glad to hear this, as DH and I couldn't work out why he was living in such a midden when he could have just moved house every week or so.

I must be missing something. I thought it was really slow and only stayed with it because we had recorded the first few so watched em back to back. It got a little more interesting when ge married Carol but as soon the blonde arrived it became predictable sexist shit that could have been lifted from any other tired American sitcom. Very disappointed.

It's passing the time whilst I'm ironing, but I haven't laughed much!

Wouldn't you move into the White House??

I've neglected this thread, but I wondered if anyone else was still watching. The scene last night with the ladder falling away from the bill board had us howling with laughter. And the whole Tandy thing. Hilarious!

Anyone know why Dave have bumped season 2 to 11pm without warning? It's a pain in the arse, as DH and were looking forwards to sitting down to watch it tonight.
