It's just so awful.... We know it's happening but it's unimaginable given the lives we lead here in the west...

I can't stop crying at the sheer horror of it for all those women , children and families...

Absolutely horrifying accounts. It was uplifting however, to see the rescues although I felt like crying too.

I wanted to see this but forgot. Is it on again in the week does anyone know?

It's all so incomprehensible. Those people rescuing the women and children are wonderful, but it's not enough and I just don't know what the answer is. I feel so angry at the world tonight.

I think it's a series, so yes on next week.

I can't believe the mentality of those men, laughing about buying and selling slaves. How can anyone think like that?

I feel so grateful for my life but pretty useless in that there is nothing I could do.

Those rescuers have unbelievable courage.

Women are less than dogs in Isis. That stoning will stay with me for a long time.

Just horrific. Unimaginable to me sitting in my cosy dressing gown in my locked house in a safe country. I just cant begin to know what they are going through.

When they do the escapes, the ISIS territory is larger than britain, how are they getting through? Surely they must pass ISIS fighters? A large group is very conspicuous. And also as they crossed the frontline the ISIS point was very visible, couldnt the ISIS fighters see them and the team waiting to meet them?

Horrific. One thing I didn't understand.........once the rescued women are back home how safe are they? What's to stop ISIS coming back? Is there better protection now?

Report
BualadhBos · 15/07/2015 23:14

It's horrifying to think of the ones who don't get rescued.

My dh said what will people a 100 years time make of the horrors being committed now. He compared it to hitler and I agree with him

Absoloutely. I wonder how its going to end.

Great programme.

I reread The Handmaid's Tale recently. For these women it's no fiction.

I wonder if MNHQ could campaign or somehow keep a candle burning here?

I cannot believe the heroism of the guides within ISIS territory.

MissTriggs I said to my DH it's all very dystopian. It's hard to believe that it's actually happening in reality. I'm still going over it in my head.

I'm still processing this television programme. I hope it's shown again. I can't yet absorb that this is happening right now.
