Oh I love this. Never seen it before.
The bride sounds like Caroline Ahearne in the Royle. Family.

Is this on tv now or catch up?

I love this show, but not enough to buy a tv license Smile

Well if he wanted a wedding for himself with nothing whatsoever to do with the bride, he's got it. Shock

Poor woman, why are they not riding to the ceremony together?

Can't believe she wore that horrible dress! Suppose it was her fault for pretending she liked Guns N Roses! He thought he was doing what she wanted!

The groom realised maybe the Harley was a step too far

It was her colour that confused me. I guess she must have looked like that by choice rather than by fake tan disaster but I don't get why?

Yes it was quite mahogany.

Recurring theme here, first one of this series last week. Groom has to organise day based around what they (not their bride) was into when they met. The BBC3 series at least had some creativity to it.

yes that's what I thought.Terrible makeup, and then she did the same thing for her wedding!

I wanted to stage a makeup intervention. Get rid of the ronseal tan, jet black hair dye, stage makeup and tattooed eyebrows.

Under all that I'm sure she was very attractive but her whole look was just so ageing.

Her ideal wedding was just the boring stereotype. His was much more interesting. She was so artificial looking, I quite liked the dress and the theme and the wedding reception looked like fun.

All the brides dream weddings on this programme are identikit 'princess for the day' meringue weddings. The planned wedding are mostly more interesting and inventive!

That has to be part of the formula though! I don't believe any couple would discuss going on the programme without agreeing what kind of wedding they wanted, at least roughly.

I agree. I've only watched a couple of episodes and know that if you want a boring meringue wedding you don't go on the programme and suspect much of the upset and drama is just for the cameras.
It seemed odd that in 20 years together he hadn't spotted she never listened to rock music and they'd never discussed it.

I saw an episode the other night (might have been an old one) where the groom organised for his height-phobic bride to parashute in to the aerodrome where they were married while bungey jumping. Then a marquee full of supermarket snacks. Despite being terrified and having to spend half the day in a harness instead o her wedding dress, she not only still married him, but praised how well he'd done and so did her mum who spent most of the time crying with terror. I'm sure she must have woken up the next day and thought 'where was my bloody wedding? !!'. oh btw skydiving etc was the groom's big passion - selfish arse.

...meant to say, Would love to see an update on that one.

fancyanotherfez · 06/07/2015 12:01

yes i saw that one. I really thought she was going to pull out of it! You're right it probably is all staged, or they are told to emphasise their massive difference. I saw the one where the groom got a custom made fairy dress for the bride which she loved for her mediaeval reenactment wedding! Id love an update show. If they don't make it I don't believe in love!

Another bride I want to stage a makeup intervention on.

This episode is making me feel really uncomfortable with the potential for it not going right!
