The New Clangers.

What do people think?

I recorded this and watched it just now, and while I could see differences, I thought it had remained true to the original. I am particularly glad that it's been made with stop-motion animation, instead of computer graphics.

It was lovely, and I hope it brings the Clangers to a whole new generation - they are a really happy childhood memory of mine, and it's nice to see it come back.

Dd2 was entranced by it. Anything at that time of day that stops them climbing the walls and isn't Bing is a good thing

I was in late teens when Clangers were on, and luckily it was cool to like the Clangers and the Magic Roundabout.

Now am old gimmer, watched the new Clangers on i-player, and like miaow's DD, was entranced smile

I just watched this on iplayer as I was at work when it was on yesterday blush

And it was lovely. <happy sigh>

THe Clangers were always my favourites, and it was so gentle and warm. Although I am slightly jealous of the Americans having William Shatner do the voice-over!!

I was worried that they'd spoil it, but it has been very well done indeed.

And I have it on series link, so dh and I can watch it together.

DS had to watch it 3 times in a row, nice thing to watch before bed. It certainly seemed to soothe him and agree it's lovely that they seem to have stuck to the original. DS always seems to prefer stop-motion animation than computer animation so it might be a let up from all the Raa Raa we watch!

DS2 found it on iPlayer, this morning. He kept forwarding to the bit where the musical notes grow back grin
