And what a wonderful sense of community. I was crying already over the reindeers.

Im glad they're actually changing their slant /agends on this programme. Julie is a fantastic mum and the sense of community and genoristy was very humbling. So so sad though.

Hope Cameron is shown that episode. These are the communities he is tearing apart; these are the kind, generous, selfless mothers he is punishing.

If anyone would like to help by donating or even just sharing via Facebook or Twitter, here is a link to the GoFundMe page in memory of Reagan.

Flowers

I've just been watching this too. The sense of community is just fabulous. I too was already welling up at the reindeers, let alone Reagan's funeral.

The point of this series (I think) is that these people are some of the poorest in the country. Yet they still managed to pull together to do something wonderful for one very poorly lad - I have to wonder how many 'richer' (in a purely monetary sense) neighbourhoods would have been so selfless.

Oops Thanks for the link. I've watched the whole series 2 9didn't watch series 1) and I've been in awe of Julie and was in bits last night. She deserves all the support of her community and the rest of the country. What a woman. I don't know what Go Fund Me is. Is it allowing people to make donations direct to Julie so that she can spend it on what she chooses, or is it raising money for a more specific purpose?

Ive just watched this and bawled my eyes out.... I was happy crying when they organised the reindeers, full on sobbing at the funeral. I knew he had died but didnt know it was going to be on the show.

Cant begin to imagine what julie went through, such a nice woman who was doing the best she could.

Got to say i do like the way the estate has been portrayed in this series. More realistic (from my experience anyway). I live near two estates and most people are decent, just hard up. Yes you get the odd wrong un but nowhere near as many as the media would have you believe.

Welltidy, it says on the link

This charity Reagan Jack's Rainbows is to raise money for any child and their parents who are facing an uncertain future. The reason to partake in the second series of Benefits Street is to highlight the problems of getting help in complex situations and that the care system should be changed and loved ones should be given all the help needed to remain in their own homes because ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE ??*

What a lovely community, donating what little they had for Reagan to see the reindeer. Very sad he passed away :(
