I remember reading about it in Worlds Greatest Ghost Stories.
I've jumped once so far.

Acknowledged by most people to be a hoax now. Surprised Tim Spall wanted to be in this.

wasn't it never proved either way?

Yeah. Rumour has it they asked the girls to retract their statement about it being a hoax.
Like Amitiville. Wasn't that all because they couldn't pay the mortgage?

I watched the entire series at once thanks to sky on demand. It was quite good. Certainly pleased I watched it.

I am going to watch it tonight as I didn't get a chance to last night. I used to live on the same street about 60 houses along when I was a kid. My babysitter at the time thought it would be fun to show an 8 year old me the book (complete with photos of the girls being thrown from their beds). Blimey I had nightmares for ages. Am looking forward to watching it.

Theres another thread. I went to school round the corner at the same time and never heard anything at the time. Older girls would have been same age as my sister.

Just watched it. Bloody hell - that scene when the hand clamped on her mouth: I've never shrieked like it in my life. Full blown "OOAAAAGH!!!". Dh nearly dropped his forkful of curry in fright and the poor snoozing dog just about hit the ceiling.

This was so well done, great acting and a real feel for the time without over-egging it. Am really looking forward to the next bit!

I read that the girl said it was a hoax but then later admitted she'd only said that to stop people asking her about it.
