If she's an investigative journalist then my cat is Sherlock sodding Holmes!

I mean wtf??

She actually said "woo hoo" when looking at a stash of weapons. What are the BBC doing?

She's from my home town. It's notoriously shit, so it wouldn't phase her much seeing anything out of the ordinary. She seems down to earth, and with it.

I think she's bright and genuine and she knows how to talk to young audiences without patronising them. She doesn't speak like other investigative journalists but I think - for the audience she is presenting to, that is to her credit.

That's what she's being billed as now, not what I would call her. I'm sorry, it's just so awful. The program is like a 6th form show-reel. I don't think any 'yoof' watching this would take her seriously. I hope they wouldn't.

Yeah she is relatable kind and straight forward nothing seems to phase her either. my teen dd watches her stuff and we chat about it if the topic was covered on panorama or something dd would probably glaze over

I really like her programmes. She has a down-to-earth attitude, and covers interesting subjects. For someone who isn't a trained journalist, I think she does really well.

Report
MuttonCadet · 22/04/2015 21:59

She's not bright, she doesn't understand the subjects she's covering and she was "discovered" on a reality show.

We watch her "documentaries" as a comedy, kind of like Alan partridge, surely no-one takes her seriously.

She's playing to a younger audience. I've watched her stuff and enjoy it despite my advancing years. My DH thinks she's very down to earth and likes her.

she's good on cbbc. I'd want to bellow at some of the spoilt brats they have on 'show me what you're made of'.

Oh god no, I don't find the subject amusing, just the awful delivery. It's like brass eye.

She is supposed to understand if she's making a documentary about the subject.

I wonder if people would think differently if her accent was more "Middle England". I am not her target audience, but I like her and I appreciate what she is trying to achieve.

Report
MuttonCadet · 22/04/2015 22:13

Not for me, I'm very northern and don't judge by accent.

I enjoy her programmes. I like how she isnt scared. She gets in the middle of the drama.

Also i love her hair. Its always so lovely even when it is scruffily pulled back.

Report
SignoraStronza · 23/04/2015 22:58

I get her confused with Cherry Healey to be honest. Have to switch over whenever it is something they are presenting- even if the subject matter looks interesting.
