i've watched it now. still slightly a-quiver, tbh. john barrowman is so blimmin' handsome. very good altogether, the female lead is excellent.

BTW, I think I've solved all my weaning problems. I'm going to scatter BabyDragon's meals on the kitchen floor and let her slug around hoovering them up. Cut out the middle bit where I put it on a tray in front of her. She was under there this morning chewing on dried up sweetcorn.

i just let dd graze on the crud that her father drops on the floor and of course completely fails to notice... crumbs and crisps and the like. and dustballs, of course. we have a look that passes between us when i say 'what have you just eaten off the floor' and she at 10 months somehow communicates 'mmm, salt'n'vinegar...'

it didn't seem terribly adult, tbh, not on the basis of the first episode anyway. and i get quite lot of dvds early through work, it's pretty good.

Fine for 13 year old I'd have thought and highly questionable for 9 year old.
Ds loved without fully understanding (thank heavens) JB's innuendo-drenched performance in Dr Who but I have a feeling he and Russell are going to max it up in Torchwood...

I'm in the same position with a 12 year old and an eight year old. I suppose we'll have to watch it ourselves and see - but would be interested to hear what others on here think. They're such Dr Who fans that it'll be hard to keep them off Torchwood. (Made worse by the fact that one of their favourite neighbours has a small part in it My first question when I found out was "Do you know John Barrowman?" )

Marina, I have had the same discussion with dd (also 7!) who is a big Dr Who fan, but I won't let her watch it....
I will let her watch that bizarre Robin Hood again this week though, rather unimpressed so far!!

Marina, you need to order the dvd of 'Fauteuils d'Orchestre' through work and test it at home before you can recommend it to people, it is very nice indeed
