Does it make me an awful person that I can't bear the sad stories. I just can't watch them, it hurts physically. I have a 3 year old dd and she is the most precious thing to me.

But I'm afraid I turn over when the stories come on, and these people are so brave to tell their stories.

I do donate though.

Was it me or did the children's choir start flat?!

Report
bambinibop · 14/11/2014 20:36

No, I just watched one of the sad stories and I was in tears, since having my dd this year I totally understand when you say it hurts physically. It always upset me but now it's just so much more upsetting. I don't think I'll be able to watch them all I'll just have to bust myself in the kitchen making tea. The thing is they are also quite often very uplifting too if that makes sense.

Can't watch it- makes me grieve for my DS2 and his severe autism, makes me feel guilty that there are children and parents dealing with worse situations, makes me feel jealous when I see resources going to those more able than my DS.

I am a horrible woman Grin

Tess seems to have cornered the market in cringeworthy presenting with well-past-their time male presenters......her and Terry are toe-curlingly awful.

You're not a horrible woman still , my sis has severe asd, my ds1 has mild asd , its under funded hugely

Not a horrible woman at all - I grieve for the child/teenage me who didn't get all the help and support that these young people do. That makes me terrible.

Cotton eye joe?!

My son is also severely autistic still, I know what you mean.
Can't stand Tess.
I do like it even though face to face I wouldn't seem like the sort of person who would like or watch it.
Am I still too old for Harry Styles? Wink
