Yes me and dd. I was hoping it would fill the dance moms void but I'm not sure.
Dd recently left a big competitive dance school cos I couldn't bear some of the mums.
We are at a small happy one now.

Yes and the mums are trying to be like the dance mums.
Is that competition just a dance festival?

I'm not sure - Dance comps are new to me but I am a bit surprised they are announced as Jennifer's team before they perform.

Not sure I'll watch this beyond this episode..

It's not the same as ALM as she has taught those kids since they were toddlers. Jens team are hand picked. It's too manufactured, there are millions of established schools they could have filmed at which would still have had the fireworks.
Dance mums are pretty mental!!

I don't even think they agree that good, considering the ages of the girls she Has on the team. TalentFest is a relatively new competition and from what I can gather (had the blurb through because Dd did a workshop with one of the organisers) it's meant to be more of a convention with workshops in all genres and a competition added on.

For me the mother's are awful, they look rough, they are deliberately difficult and have no class.

Jen is very shouty. She reminds me strongly of a local dance school principal, who taught my Dd briefly before she got her own school. To me she doesn't appear to have the experience to teach this team of girls, but I may be wrong.

The girls themselves do not stand out to me as being the best. I think they are dime a dozen, if you went to any dance festival you could see girls just as talented or even more so. None of them can sing, and all the dancers at our studios know that if your serious you need to have the triple threat (dance, vocals, acting).

Yes, I am a self confessed dance mum, but I would never behave the way those mothers did last night!
