Does anyone know when the rest of the current Alex Polizzi The Fixer series will be shown?

The first two episodes were on a few weeks ago and it hasn't been on since. I'm guessing there will be a few more episodes as she normally has 6 or 8 in the series.

It really annoys me when the BBC does this.

I asked this same question last week and no-one knew.

It's back!

Anyone else watching? We are glued to this episode! (Alex doesn't have much of a bedside manner - quite refreshing in a way).

I'm watching! I'm 30min behind though. Tonight's place looks so old fashioned. I usually avoid going into little tea houses like that for the very reason that they don't look like they know what they are doing and are unappealing.

I do love how Alex just says it as it is. It's a nice change.

Ooh blimey, it's all gone a bit LTB.

Ray is like a petulant child. It's either his way or no way. Throwing tantrums every 5 minutes.

The parents have never argued probably because it was always his choice of everything. Horrible, horrible man.

Alex must have the nerves of steel to put up with that nonsense.

aw crap I missed it. I love Alex Polizzi.

Ray was a bully. I thought he was threatened and couldn't take criticism (no matter how constructive) but he took it out on his wife.

I wondered what kind of a life she's had with him. Reminded me of my grandmother and her sisters and their respective marriages.

I think the wife still defending him even after everything really showed what their family dynamics are like. She is so used to being bullied and making excuses for him all the time.

So sad, I felt really sorry for her, trying to put a brave face on him being a complete arse, poor woman

Yes, especially after the lovely makeover. I hope he's never spoilt a Christmas or birthday in the same way.

Just caught up. I felt he should have been/ stayed retired. He seemed too old for it all. Daughter seemed a nightmare as well.

Report

I didn't think age was his problem.

I felt sorry for the daughter really... I thought she'd be better off with her own life and a job separate to her family's business.

He was nasty wasn't he. I wanted the makeover to include a new patio with him underneath it. If that's what he is like on camera how the hell does he treat his 'loved' ones the rest of the time?

I love these kinds of programmes but just can't go her at all. All that totally insincere calling everyone darling ugh!!Angry

Just caught up with this. I did enjoy the bit where she finally snapped and told Ray what a twat he is. I think what he most hated about the whole thing was that a woman was daring to contradict him.

I am a bit late to the party, had to sort out the pesky child, but will start watching in a minute.

I've only been to one soft play and from what I can remember why I never went back was- shit seating/ tables (broken plastic ones), even more shit food that was £££- £7 for a hot dog made out of minced dogs anuses in a stale bun, horrible instant coffee, dirty toilets, too many kids. And the noise. Deary me, THE NOISE!

That place actually looks rather nice. Especially the cafe.

I thought it was expensive. It was a big place, bigger than my local place but was about double the price.

It's local to us, we go quite a lot. It is pretty good, for what it is. It's comfy - you can snuggle up on one of the big sofas with one of the magazines they leave out, the food and drinks are decent and not too expensive, and as well as having a smaller toddler area, there are also jumperoos around for the tinies.

It doesn't seem to have changed much since the programme though.

I know how hard it is to see a different way of doing things when you are stuck in your own little world, but both last week and this week, the men appeared to be stubborn on purpose just for the sake of it.

Really enjoyed tonight's as we used to live nearby and go there. We stopped going because of the horrendous parking, filthy equipment, noise (much worse than other similar places) and the coffee was awful. A similar but much better equivalent opened in a nearby town (with better coffee, food and parking) so everyone I knew with small children went there instead.

shakemysilliesout · 04/02/2015 10:31

Good parking is important. Noise never bothered me but maybe because it's a warehouse it's worse? The smell of soft play I find much worse than noise.
