I was relieved they found the Man who murdered the Grandfather. I felt gutted he had such a fantastic life.

He became a banker after the Republic of Ireland was formed. He seemed to have lead a charmed life, when destroying the lives of others.

This was really fascinating, and was gripped by the idea of using one family incident rather than getting little snippets of individual lives. Sometimes I do find HDYTYA a bit speedy, especially when it comes to interesting people or situations.

One thing, though. Given that it was Brendan O'Carroll's grandfather it is entirely plausible that the murderers men discussed could have very close living relatives. Are they ok essentially speculating these men were murderers with very scant actual evidence?

I thought about that, Dolly. I wonder if he died without heirs and they investigated that.
I thought it was quite brave of Brendan O'Carroll in many ways. The scene when he went to the upstairs room and looked out of the window was chilling.

I absolutely detest Ms Brown's Boys. But this was utterly compelling and I warmed to Brendan O'Carroll.

The bit where he was in the nail salon with that gormless young girl was funny but also so sad that the site of a callous contract killing is now a tacky beauty parlour.
