Be tolerant, they have a lot of startup to get through. You can't expect lightning plot development from the off. David Tennant's starting episode was none too coherent either, and Peter Capaldi does regeneration madness very well.

This is the first Dr Who I've watched since the 80's.

Love Capaldi but I haven't the foggiest what's going on. The Victorian theme is a new thing yes? I've noticed that in trailers over the last few years. Who's the funny looking butler? Why are there aliens in the streets? Why doesn't the Doctor know what's happening? Where are the Daleks?

DH is not impressed, I don't watch it, but it's on. looks very unDoctor Who-like to me. I never did get the hype.

I haven't watched it, myself and the teenager were going to watch it tonight but I've deleted it as we have had a Bad Attitude and Door Slamming.
I need to go and say how brilliant it was but I value my life too much for that

I'm missing Matt Smith, he had my attention straight away but I'm giving Capaldi a chance as I usually like him.

My 3yo on the other hand, is completely unimpressed and he's Dr Who obsessed and has been really looking forward to it.
