Shiney new thread...

CalamitouslyWrong Thu 17-Jul-14 21:09:10

Yours is a better (and less apathetic) shiny new thread. I vote we use this one.

Ellenora5 Thu 17-Jul-14 21:09:12

Thanks spotted just realised the other one was full

John has given them so many ideas he may aswell just cook it for them

TheSpottedZebra Thu 17-Jul-14 21:09:28

We filled up the other one.

Really Wayne - you don';t understand the language of S. America? Did Jose not teach you that along with the Paella?

Am a bit over Wayne.

Well done Zebra
I just added to the old thread and realised its full
I love Wayne smile blags it and turns out a decent dish grin

TheSpottedZebra Thu 17-Jul-14 21:10:33

Oh sorry, Cal - great minds think alike and all that...

CalamitouslyWrong Thu 17-Jul-14 21:11:18

Giving you kit fajitas would be in the spirit of a competition that had too your own pizzas as a challenge earlier. They should complain that they're being expected to chuck in a spice mix of their own design.

TheSpottedZebra Thu 17-Jul-14 21:11:57

I like Jodie lots and lots but would rather that this shebang was won by someone who genuinely loves food and cooking. I think Jodie just loves winning - which is fine and all, but I don't want her to win this one. Even if she is bloody good.

I thought we knew the winner tonight but alas it's on tomorrow too and I'm working sad
Wayne was on Lorraine this morning, it's his birthday today

CalamitouslyWrong Thu 17-Jul-14 21:12:58

No need to apologise. grin

We just needed a thread to moan about Greg and his 'reservations about the South American caravan'.

Fajitas is a piece of piss. It's not exactly tricky.

TheSpottedZebra Thu 17-Jul-14 21:13:15

Nnnooooo, not water - something fatty - milk, yoghurt...

TheSpottedZebra Thu 17-Jul-14 21:14:02

Oh, this isn't the final final? confused

CalamitouslyWrong Thu 17-Jul-14 21:14:15

Also, refried beans are incredibly simple. She should fry them in bacon fat like a proper Texan.

CalamitouslyWrong Thu 17-Jul-14 21:14:36

No. There's another episode tomorrow.

Wayne can hardly see in the saucepan grin

CalamitouslyWrong Thu 17-Jul-14 21:16:09

It's quite sad that Wayne couldn't figure the save the rice strategy out for himself.

TheSpottedZebra Thu 17-Jul-14 21:17:05

I LOVE LOVE LOVE refried beans.

And the burnt rice reminds me of Iranian rice, where the tadiq (?), the crunchy bottom bit is considered the best bit. And golly, isn't it just!

CalamitouslyWrong Thu 17-Jul-14 21:17:20

I hope the crowd have low expectations.

squoosh Thu 17-Jul-14 21:19:16

Is Wayne actually getting shorter?

CalamitouslyWrong Thu 17-Jul-14 21:19:19

I'm not sure I'd want roasted sweet potato topped with refried beans though. I'm not sure that would work texturally.

They're just recycling the spring roll challenge.

Ellenora5 Thu 17-Jul-14 21:19:37

It's still beyond me how Wayne has got this far

CalamitouslyWrong Thu 17-Jul-14 21:19:58

Why is the 'fajita' served in a hard shell taco?

The final final is tomorrow 8.30

CalamitouslyWrong Thu 17-Jul-14 21:21:22

There should be more food van challenges in proper masterchef, to prepare the contestants for their future careers in food vannery.

coffeeinbed Thu 17-Jul-14 21:22:43

I feel like a fraud on this thread...
