in the coaches box...Grin

So Federer V Djokovic, 2014.

Gutted it isn't Nadal, or Grigor. Glad it isn't Murray, we might get more balanced commentary. Grin

I think Federer may have it- and will be able to play a better game than against the big serving Raonic.

But Djok is hurting from the number of GS losses
He has only played Fed on grass once. At Wimbledon. He lost.
If the roof goes on, Fed is better indoors too.

I want a 5 set thriller, because I don't care who wins really. I am refusing to move form the sofa. My children will go to school Monday wearing pyjamas, and with a bag of crisps for lunch.

I am sticking with Virgin Pimms (a.k.a Peppermint tea)BrewWine

I really want Fed to win
He's been playing beautifully, while all around were losing their composure, he was superb.

The doubles was stunning, and my lovely DH cooked burgers, onions and part baked bread so I could hide upstairs and watch in peace Grin

Look at you with your fancy thread title. It's got all the words and all the apostrophes in the right places.

Bad news on the classic final front. Struggling to find a link that isn't in 15 minute segments. I'm sure there was a full version somewhere.

I'm sad. I loathe the pair of them. Any other combo would be an improvement sigh

Federer is such a star of the game, that I'd rather he retires on a high, than when he's crashed down the rankings, and losing to unknown Brits.

Losing to unknown Brits is about the worst way to go. Definitely Fed to win.Preferably in a more interesting manner than the last few days games. Although I won't complain too much if he mauls Djok.

Fed to win - 3 sets would be best, but I'll allow him 4.

And well done to the Socks - what a match!

Tricky one. Think it'll be Fedberg in the end.

Grin Raahh, so you did manage to think of a snappy title after all!

C'mon Fed! He has been magnificent this tournament and utterly dismantled Raonic.

Fed for me purely for the monogramming.

Ahaha, unknown Brits. Love it.

I want Fed to win and then retire on a high. Agree with Elephants about the way he's been playing.

We'll probably miss the start of the match as it clashes (slightly) with the Formula 1, but will see most of it.

Im glad it isn't really Becker Vs Edburg, that would be an impossible choice.

Becker is almost exacty the same age as me (and Ive shouted my
self horse in his support countless times), but Edburg is better looking.

But, today no contest I want Feder to win. I want him to go down as the greatest player of the modern era, because he plays with almost the power of Sampras, the composure of Borg and natral talent of McEnroe.

Maybe he doesn't have the tenacity of Nadal or Agassi, but for me tennis is artistry before power, brains before brawn.

Elephants the '88 is one of my favourites. It went over to the Monday (I'd just finished my GCSE's so didn't have to be in school).Grin

I was so chuffed to see Edberg to win, as I'd seen him a few weeks earlier playing in Didsbury. I was hopelessly in loveGrin

Hello All !

Cor, missed a blinder with the ladies, didn't I ? Hmm

Kvitova played her little socks off. Wonder if it was the 'occasion' that got to Genie ?

That men's doubles was fab ! Caught the last few games.

Want Fed to win today. But. Don't want him to and then possibly match Rafas RG record. I am pathetic. Sad

MrsV- I get what you are saying.

I had high hopes this year, after Rafa's great 2013, that he would match Fed's GS tally pretty soon. Hasn't quite gone to plan. I just hope he comes out fighting in the hard court season.

But I'm team Fed, mainly for the Edberg connectionGrin
