I do. Think it will be an interesting storyline and may be a talking point for a while and bring some issues up into the public eye a bit more.

she has, it was in the tv guide (i don;t watch corrie just read about it lol) she has disguised it with whatever else has been going on (like i said i don;t watch it - has someone died or something?) but it comes out when she leaves the baby in a car she borrows from the taxi place

I presume the bit about her Mum dying was a lie?

What I don't understand, if her Mum was dying, why leave the baby on its own in a car?!!

If my DH Mum was dying and he was so upset that he left our baby in the car for that long and it was screaming I wouldn't say "arrh, poor DH"!!!!

I would give him down the banks lol or am I just horrible lol lol

I know.....it's only a programme!!!!!!!!!!

Poor baby! I know it's only a soap, but it made me so sad when she walked away from the car!!
I was thinking the same as you anniebear - it has to be a lie about her mum.

think it is a lie. she needed to say something dramatic to explain her actions and she doesn't want to admit anything's 'wrong' with her or the baby so she's invented a diversion. poor woman only had one visit from the midwife! alarm bells should have gone off then because it was 3 days post partum and Claire was making a full wedding banquet for the mw and anyone else who went past the house!! if only her HV bothered to visit she's have spotted this!! that could have been a good storyline, claire and the hv going through the '10 questions' and claire lying thru her teeth!

I hope they portray it acurately, and show that she does get help, and don't make it out to still be a big taboo.

No, I do think her mum is dying. I just read it in a TV mag. I missed the second part of it last night but I do hope that they are not going to portray PND as something that is so obvious. You know what I mean, I had PND but it wasn't displayed the way Claire's is going to be. I was a quiet depressive, not yelling at everyone and accusing them of thinking I was a bad mother or negligent of my child. Unless Corrie's researchers or writers have spent any time either being depressed or talking to mums with PND they simply will write what they want to be more dramatic. I hope anyone who watches it that hs never had depression doesn't think that all new mums who aren't at themselves will go off and leave their kids in a car... it's like they don't care, but we all do.. we really do.
