I only do watch because dh is still hanging on in there with it. I've def watched it for too long though. I mean really! Chrissie must have seduced the entire hospital three times over by now. She never seems to be more than three feet away from at least two current conquests. What is it with Chrissie and men falling at her feet?Confused And then there's the roof!! Is there a queue to jump off the roof? Most hosiptals or commercial buildings, it would be very difficult to get to the roof. Not on Holby. And people leaving. Off they go in a taxi or a bus. Loads and loads of them. No-one works out their notice. No-one seems even slightly perturbed about the implications financially of just literally walking out of a perfectly good job to go 'travelling'. I think they must really be going to the roof because they suddenly realise how crap it all is. Gah the whole thing is so ridiculous. And everyone collapses in the corridor or the toilets. Please bring back Connie. I liked Connie. I liked Hansson before he went all weird and started keeping a bird in his desk. It's just terrible nowadays. Jac's the only one I like and they've set her up with an unbelievable storyline. No way would she and that nurse chap have got together.

I think you and your DH are the only ones still watching! I gave up a few years back. Too many unlikeable characters in one programme for me.

Wouldn't surprise me if Malik miraculously gets use of his hand again! Shock

I watch it on I-player during episodes of insomnia.

OP, that is a masterful summary.

Sasha is a particularly pointless character, don't you think?

BananaNotPeelingWell · 22/11/2013 17:15

Yes I agree Sasha IS quite quite pointless. If he does that sympathetic, head cocked to one side lopsided grin once more I will escort him to the roof myself and wait iin the queue with him.

Not though I might add, quite as pointless as that weird bloke who used to live (??) in a camper van in the carpark and used to be in a dullest storyline ever with Eddie The Uninteresting. He was such a man of mystery I can never even remember his name and used to wonder why he was even on the programme at all. Talk about a damp squib. And he must've been a millionaire in £1 coins, because every hospital car park Ive ever been in has cost a blimmin fortune just for a couple of hours let alone living in one.

I love Holby but agree I feel like the only one!

Yes bring back Hanssen, I saw him in a Michael Moon-esque light.

Everyone atm is so wishy-washy, there's no real oomph, will never know why Mary-Claire was brought back properly, Michael Spence is rately there, Malick feels like deadwood atm, don't get me started on his Laahdaan son.

Must say I love watching the old repeats on the Sony channel though

I disagree Banana I thought he was lovely looking, strange yes, but nice to look at (true I can't remember his name eitherGrin) til he turned up in Waterloo Road as a paedophile Hmm. Glad they got rid of Oliver Valentine, I was sick of his forlorn face all the time

BananaNotPeelingWell · 22/11/2013 17:45

Oh lord yes Ollie. Did he go 'travelling' too? I can't remember or care.

Still watching Holby here, too, although agree completely with Jac being the only good character since Hansson left. I would also love Connie to come back and I'm glad the last member of the Williams family has finally left.

Carpark-caravan-bloke was called Luc, btw. I didn't recognise him as the paedophile in WR, but I'm going to blame that on doing the ironing while watching.

I have only been watching this for a few months but love it. Like Jac and the male nurse, and Digby. I like Serena too. Agree that Sacha is pointless.

I thought the recent episode with the acid attack victim was gripping.

I've been watching from the start. It was a howler episode, but was watching with DD, so there was lots to be laughing and shouting 'nooooo' about (we needed cheering up and it did so just nicely!)

Yes, I watch it too Blush

Why the blazes do they come into work when they are ill?
Or their family is ill?

Chrissie and her breast cancer.
Her facial scar when that consultant (who she was engaged/married/bonking) attacked her with a scalpel.
Her mother also working while undergoing treatment.
Mallick with his post-surgical hand
Chantelle after the accident (and when she was attacked by that patient)
Ollie (the biggest pain in the arse) after his wife died. His sister died.
Elliot and his wife dying.

And the enigmatic Hansen, with everything in his life.

No , they stagger in, flake out and jepodise patints' lives.

I'm waiting for the Christmas episode.
There can't be anyone else for Chrissie to get off with?

Loopytiles · 22/11/2013 23:50

Am not giving up til they kill off Elliot!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 23/11/2013 00:35

Hmmm, has Chrissie bonked Elliot yet?

Could be enough to finish him off?

Report
Headwallbanging · 23/11/2013 03:55

See...? I forgot about Serena, another one not in enough scenes. Yes Luc Hemingway.

Chrissie should be gone by Christmas, no?

SPOILER ALERT: Mo's sister is coming in as a HCA and that slimeball who stitched Malick up at his trial is also coming back... Why??? He was useless first time. We need strong characters and good lines not weak fools like him Confused

Headwall that wasn't Luke in Waterloo Road the other week. He was in Holby though but I think he played a Scottish Dr maybe another of Chrissie's conquests

I love Holby and am thrilled that Chrissie has gone. I miss Hansson too.

I watch it still! Malick was on Lorraine saying he's leaving soon.
Agree, more Michael Spence, Jac is great and so was Hanssen.

I used to like that Dr who wore the Liverpool FC bandana in theatre who was one of Chrissies many conquests.

Cannot stand Chrissie, in fact I hate the character with a passion, I find her so selfish.Been watching it for years, far too many years, way, way back when they had the gynee bit and the paediatrics ward. There used to be such better characters in it.I liked the Scottish bloke(can't remember his name)that was in charge(Campbell something or other) and someone remind me of the name of the best bloke in charge ever, he was really brutal, but brilliant.Do you remember when David from Enders was in it before he was in Casulty ? Or was I dreaming, that fella was his mentor.Loved Connie, bring her back, loved Hansen, loved Joseph, with his OCD's, loved the bloke that Chrissie was married to that they lost the baby with together.Cannot stand Chantelle, glad she has gone, love Digby, love Mallik, Spence, although really nice to look at, doesn't add anything.Ric isn't in it enough and Elliot will always be Nigel from Enders for me(but I like him).Would like to see Serena and her ex get back together and just remembered the Ade Edmonson character, I enjoyed watching him.Anyone I've forgotten :>)
