I am not ashamed to say I love Big Band week. The live orchestra always shows up the ones who have been carried along by a backing trackgrin

Here are the songs-

Abi Alton – That’s Life

Hannah Barrett – This Is A Man’s World

Luke Friend – Moondance

Nicholas McDonald – Dream A Little Dream

Rough Copy – Hit The Road Jack

Sam Bailey – New York New York

Sam Callahan – Ain’t That A Kick In The Head

Tamera Foster – Cry Me A River

Needless to say, they aren't all exactly Big band tracks.

Where is 'Mack the Knife'?? Someone always does 'Mack the Knife'

and no Mickey Bubbles either, which makes mesad.

We have Robbie 'album to plug' Williams and Celine 'why sing one note when you can sing a dozen' Dion.

I need wine

Lots and lots of wine

grin

Hey Jude by Crood

Lol

Raahh I betcha Luke does Hey Jude

How about "common people"

Raahh Mon 11-Nov-13 11:06:54

'mistletoe and wine'

grin

I can see Loose Screw doing a Dusty Springfield number- 'You don't have to say you love me'. I can smell the angst from here.

grin

If it's 'Hey Jude' I might throw thingsgrin

There will be something by The Beatles. Loads of possibilities there. But what exactly is the 'Great British Songbook'?

Sir Cliff?grin

Oh, and, British music is not a meaningful theme in any way.

Wonder wall will almost certainly be murdered by Luke or ICBINB.

thistlelicker Mon 11-Nov-13 03:54:07

Great British song book .... Well that's wonder wall ruined by somebody

SlicedLemon Sun 10-Nov-13 23:36:04

They should do a rap week!! That may stump some of them.

LadyBeagleEyes Sun 10-Nov-13 23:06:53

They said on the Xtra Factor that next week's theme is the Great British Songbook.

sillyoldfool Sun 10-Nov-13 22:15:31

Abi! Not Abu!

sillyoldfool Sun 10-Nov-13 22:15:11

Felt so sorry for Abu when they were interviewing her on the xtra factor and something was going on in the audience to make people laugh and she thought they were laughing at her. Horrible moment poor girl.

IamInvisible Sun 10-Nov-13 21:22:50

Thanks Arbitrary.

Modern is not a theme!

Comments were:

Shitsinger: I refuse

Gary: I'm confused about why you're in the bottom two and not ICBINB. Then he lied about how he'd enjoyed abi's performances every week and sent her home.

Shazza: oh Abi, now you show us passion etc. but go home anyway.

Livesforbedtime Sun 10-Nov-13 21:16:26

They said the theme was modern ?

Huh. I wish they had kept Joan... Agree with someone above who said that at least she was memorable!

IamInvisible Sun 10-Nov-13 21:12:39

Bloody DH, I luffs him very much, but he FaceTimed me right at the point the judges got to choose! I gathered from peering over the top of the iPad that Abi went, but I heard none of the bloody comments!

Snice: opera. ICBINB would be beyond embarrassing at that.

Raahh Sun 10-Nov-13 21:10:40

Arbitrary- given how tenuous the themes are, we won't notice. grin

Doesn't look like there's a theme next week.
