I have to go out tonight <sob>.

So here is the list of spoilers- and it looks like we guessed most of them on the other threadgrin

Abi Alton – I Will Survive

Hannah Barrett – Somebody Else’s Guy

Kingsland Road – Blame It On The Boogie

Luke Friend – Play That Funky Music

Nicholas McDonald – Rock With You

Rough Copy – September

Sam Bailey – No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)

Sam Callahan – Relight My Fire

Tamera Foster – Wishing On A Star

Bit cruel to give Joan 'I will survive' when she probably won't.

Isn't 'no more tears' a duet?

Doesn't someone do 'Re-light my fire' every year?

And I'm going to miss itsad

So, I expect inciteful, pithy commentary in my absence.
And bitching.
grin

Ooh I don't think we've had Big Band week for a couple of years have we?

Let's see.....Mack The Knife? Who'll do that one, I'm thinking Croodboy...

Tamehra perhaps 'Feeling Good'...

<ponders>

Raahh Sun 03-Nov-13 21:04:02

Joan can't stand behind a piano for Big Band. She is toast.

Maryz Sun 03-Nov-13 21:04:20

I would love Big Band. If they actually did big band songs. Which they don't hmm

Raahh Sun 03-Nov-13 21:04:47

Noel- no, we've not.

I hope they re-instate the Christmas song, too. last year was crap without itsad

Yes but what on earth does Celine have to do with big bands? They need someone like Bublé or even better, Harry Connick Junior.

Now Robbie Williams, no excuse needed for him!

Raahh Sun 03-Nov-13 21:06:46

Maybe mickey Bubbles is busy next week?grin

NoelOfLorst Sun 03-Nov-13 21:08:01

YY to the Christmas week as well.

Okay, I'm feeling a bit cheered up again now

Oh and Maryz - arf at Louis actually making a decision! DH and I have been saying that for years

Raahh Sun 03-Nov-13 21:09:26

Well, it's been fun.

And I've had my one night out per 5 years, so will be back next Saturday to suffer in real time
grin

Raahh - have I missed something? Busy next week?

LadyBeagleEyes Sun 03-Nov-13 21:13:10

Everything Joan does is shit.

Raahh Sun 03-Nov-13 21:13:54

No- Iwasout last night and missed the thread<saddo>

But I don't get out much, so will be back next weekgrin

snice Sun 03-Nov-13 21:14:46

lucky its Big Band week when Robbie's on promoting his new swing album..now wait a minute.....hmm

Raahh Sun 03-Nov-13 21:15:33

a new Swing album?

But his last swing album was pants!

squoosh Sun 03-Nov-13 21:16:00

I think X Factor is the only thing that keeps Robbie's once colossal career limping along.

Raahh Sun 03-Nov-13 21:18:27

oh, I can see it now- Bazza and Robbie will pretend to 'hate' each other, all very jolly <yawn> yadda yadda.

I loathe Robbie.

NoelOfLorst Sun 03-Nov-13 21:20:57

Hey look on the bright side- it'll be an opportunity for Robbie to regale us all with his tales of joy and pride at becoming a father.

Again.

But, surely big band week is the absolutely perfect occasion for the Joan Lewis one woman band... It would be brilliant. It's a shame she's got shitsinger as a mentor. She wouldn't understand why Joan would be better with cymbals on her knees and a drum on her back.

NoelOfLorst Sun 03-Nov-13 21:22:38

grin

Do you think they're working up to a twee versions of rock classics week especially in honour of Joan?

Do you know, I'll be devastated when Joan actually goes. At least she gives us something to talk about. grin

I think that big band week might actually see Joan piss her pants in the corner. Hopefully.

I hate Robbie and so does my future second husband Barry.

Arbitrary. I could not agree more. I keep saying to DH, at least Joan is interesting.

then he goes whoTF is Joan?

Maryz Sun 03-Nov-13 22:52:16

It really is such a pity that they keep voting off the ones we can talk about. I can't even remember our names for the ones that are left.

I know the group. And there's an assortment of young boys, and not very good women. But they have all sort of blended into a bit of a mush.
