From the ad, it looks very much like The Bridge - in a construction-theme kind of way ;-)
Also it has Stannis Baratheon starring so it will be good <nods to self>
Anyone else going to give it a watch?

Me! I've got it on record but won't watch it tonight. I usually watch a day late to avoid adverts.
I've got The Walking Dead on tonight.

It's showing as tomorrow in my planner, always sky + and watch later so I don't have to watch ads

What channel/time?? Can't find it either today or tomorrow!

Ladytron Tue 15-Oct-13 20:36:28

Whoops, I'm a day ahead of myself.
Widdle it's Weds, 9pm Sky Atlantic HD.

I loved The Bridge, wish we had Sky.

googlyeyes Tue 15-Oct-13 21:24:57

From what I hear it's pretty much a scene by scene copy of a The Bridge so I think I might just wait til a the second series of the original, which was incredible!

Suddengeekgirl Tue 15-Oct-13 21:46:34

I've seen it - it was on sky anytime/ on demand

Pretty good, bit grim in parts, worth watching the next episode I think. smile

Was weird seeing stannis being married to gwenivere! confused

This thread totally threw me! Mum told me it was on, and I hadn't yet set the sky for it, then I got confused at thought I'd lost a day somewhere. But its ok, I haven't!

I've never heard of The Bridge, but The Tunnel looks good smile

sudden my sky anytime is shit, it only ever has movies on, how come yours has things that haven't even been on tv yet? envy

TheDoctrineOfSpike Tue 15-Oct-13 23:48:39

Is there going to be another series of The Bridge? The story arc seemed pretty one-off.

Suddengeekgirl Wed 16-Oct-13 08:21:18

imnot - the sky box is plugged into the Internet. It gets all the catch up things like iplayer, 4od etc and had a really big selection of box sets of stuff as well. We have fibre optic broadband here so it's super fast to download. smile

VivaLeThrustBadger Wed 16-Oct-13 08:24:25

I've not seen The Bridge but a trailer for The Tunnel looked good.

imnotwhoyouthinkiam Wed 16-Oct-13 09:06:59

Ahh, you have the new fangled one and internet! That's where I'm going wrong! smile

There is going to be a second series of The Bridge. BBC are showing it sometime next year.

TheOnlyOliviaMumsnet (MNHQ) Wed 16-Oct-13 17:09:15

Lurkity lurk

googlyeyes Wed 16-Oct-13 17:34:50

Yes there's definitely a second series of The Bridge on its way, though I thought it was going to be on at the end of this year sad

anonacfr Wed 16-Oct-13 19:42:28

A Swedish friend of mine has just seen the first four episode of the Bridge part 2 she said it was really good! The two leads are both back but she hasn't told me any more.

TheDoctrineOfSpike Wed 16-Oct-13 22:35:22

Ooh, thanks sunny and everyone.

HavantGuard Wed 16-Oct-13 22:40:12

Love The Bridge. I'm really glad there's going to be another series. Can't be arsed watching The Tunnel. Why remake something that's perfectly fine as it is confused.

anonacfr Wed 16-Oct-13 23:35:40

They've also done an American version! Set on the Mexican/US border and Diane Kruger plays the female copper.

I will be recording and watching tomorrow. Should be good.

Loved The Bridge, can't really see the point in The Tunnel, but will be watching anyway to perve on Stannis grin

somersethouse Fri 18-Oct-13 11:54:35

I thought it was brilliant!

Loved the characters and acting. Really good.

somersethouse Fri 18-Oct-13 12:20:39

I found the French detetives sandwich intruiging. smile

MymbleHasRisenFromTheGrave Fri 18-Oct-13 12:21:56

I liked it, nicely done although I imagine it would be better if you haven't seen the original.
