Poo, I missed it! Wondered if dd1 would start eating meat again after her transplant, but oh no, still a veggie!

V interesting. Still skeptical though. Some bits such as chicken nuggets were a bit hard to explain, bit others, like suddenly wanting to do sports aren't really convinving. A heart transplant is a life changing event. Most people will suddenly feel so much better than they have done for years and will know they have been given a second chance. many will have been close to death and had time to think. In these circs a lot of people will want to change things in their life, or try something totally new. Exercise is something you are encouraged to do and imagine when you haven't been able to do anything like this for years its no wonder that many become keen transplant athletes.

Also its important not to underestimate the side effects of the drugs, particularly steroids, which definately effect your personality. Pete has changed a bit after his transplant, he now wants to do certain things he hadn't the chance to before, and he is now even more impatient than ever as he is concious how fragile and short life is, but not enough of a dramatic change to say he is possessed

P doesn't beleive it and he points out that the prog omitted to say that the nerve conections between the heart and the rest af the body are severed and after transplant will not grow back (well not for many many years), so if the heart is thinking, it'll have to keep those thoughts to itself!

So will we have to change the saying use your head not your heart, to use heart and head and make sure they don;t have an argument about it?

DON'T FORGET thursday C4 9pm 'who gets the heart' We will have to video it as Pete may be in the photomontage at the begining!!
