Usa drama about Norman bates as a teenager and events that turned him into a serial killer

given good ratings over there and always did like a bit of Psycho

Anyone watching?

WishYouWereMine Thu 12-Sep-13 21:18:46

I'm watching - not sure if I should be.
Haven't seen Psycho, is it going to be scary? I'm here on my own lol!

Blondeshavemorefun Fri 13-Sep-13 16:16:01

did you like?

Blondeshavemorefun Mon 16-Sep-13 21:42:24

I enjoyed it - mummy is very controlling and can quite understand why Norman killed Norma

Tho why make more work for theirselves by putting body in motel room and then dripping blood everywhere and having to pull up carpet

Blondeshavemorefun Thu 19-Sep-13 22:54:51

Anyone else watching or am I billy blondes no mates a la bates - lol that rymnes smile

DontWannaBeObamasElf Fri 20-Sep-13 10:33:13

I'm just watching it now, recorded it last night. What's with the diary? And Norma asking Emma those questions?! She's seriously unhinged. I wonder why she's like that.

Lighthousekeeping Thu 03-Oct-13 21:54:39

Oh it's getting really good. Did the son grass her up?

PeanutPatty Fri 04-Oct-13 19:19:36

I've seen the first two. Got two taped to watch. It is good. His mother is a nutter. The brother has her number for sure.

Anyone seen the second episode where Norman and Emma are in the woods looking for the site of the girls in the diary?

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey Fri 04-Oct-13 19:22:13

I watched the first three episodes on a flight to Florida in July.

I have just recorded number four so am going to watch this weekend!

Lighthousekeeping Fri 04-Oct-13 19:26:55

I don't know anyone else that watches it. It's fabulous.

CocacolaMum Fri 04-Oct-13 23:01:32

I love this.

Blondeshavemorefun Sat 05-Oct-13 15:30:21

just watched this weeks and i want to know where copper stashed the girl

and always a dodgy copper eh sad

good that the older brother has a backbone

mummy seems very possessive, am wondering if she abuses norman

tho in the film psycho norman poisons his mum after she takes a lover and feels he isnt loved anymore

so wondering if in bates motel that norman will soon kill his mum/policeman

Ledkr Sat 05-Oct-13 15:34:30

I'm loving it after a slow start.
I love the fact that there's no character to feel sorry for.
BUT Homeland is back tomorrow yasaaayyyyy

Lighthousekeeping Sat 05-Oct-13 16:31:46

So far Norman seems pretty normal. I'm surprised he has girlfriends. For some reason I thought he'd be picked on at school but I was wrong. Are they full brothers?

cardibach Sat 05-Oct-13 18:54:38

Half brothers. Norman has a bit of an issue with seeing things that aren't there and forgetting violent outbursts, like going for his brother with a meat tenderiser.
I'm loving it, especially the creepy shots in/of the old house!

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey Sat 05-Oct-13 23:34:05

Just watching the 4th one - it is all a bit odd!

CMP69 Sun 06-Oct-13 15:50:47

We watched the first 2 last night. Seems good but not a prequel to Psycho, mobile phones etc. DH liked it which was a bonus he like SFA on telly

Lighthousekeeping Sun 06-Oct-13 16:17:50

It's very twin peakish.

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey Sun 06-Oct-13 18:00:24

YES! Yes it is lighthouse

digerd Sun 06-Oct-13 18:46:54

I read the book and it was better than the film as used my own imagination.
Watched Twin Peaks too, but it got a bit weird for me. I loved Picket Fences and the Visitor on TV.
Will try to remember to watch next Thursday.

Nancy66 Sun 06-Oct-13 18:53:17

I'm really enjoying this.

Evil cop is very sexy.

Lighthousekeeping Sun 06-Oct-13 18:58:09

Is there a way for anyone to watch it from the beginning?

Blondeshavemorefun Sun 06-Oct-13 19:24:15

i googled it lighthouse and seems lots of sites you can download from, but not sure which is best
