What would happen if the lights went out!?!

Looking forward to watching this, it has had good reviews. Good night on TV tonight with Under the Dome afterwardsmakes up for all the rubbish on Saturday night Anyone else giving it a go?

DP and I have bookmarked this to watch tonight, we save 'Under the Dome' for a Tuesday, 'Casualty' Saturday then 'What Remains' Sunday Grin

eddiemairswife · 09/09/2013 18:05

I'm under orders to watch. My granddaughter is an extra, so might or might not be in the finished programme.

BOF · 09/09/2013 18:13

Looks great, I'm definitely going to watch.

SuperiorCat · 09/09/2013 18:27

We will be watching - DH is the original doom merchant and always has to think his way out of any disaster scenario. He's just started mumbling about solar back up

starsandunicorns · 09/09/2013 18:29

Have on sky though will watch if awake

Bowlersarm · 09/09/2013 18:29

Ooh fantastic, I didn't know. Thank you. I love doomsday scenario programmes.

Trills · 09/09/2013 18:46

Yes it looks really interesting!

JetSetWilly · 09/09/2013 18:48

Agree the preview looked amaze

jemjelly · 09/09/2013 21:13

looked good on the previews but I'm a bit bored of this already, anyone else watching?

piratecat · 09/09/2013 21:15

just switched over to have a look, isn't it very good then, or should i go back to motorway cops madness?

onlysettleforbutterflies · 09/09/2013 21:17

It's making my eyes hurt!

BOF · 09/09/2013 21:18

Oh, I think it looks great.

BOF · 09/09/2013 21:18

It's a bit Blair Witch, a bit Threads...

BOF · 09/09/2013 21:19

I bet the survivalist gets mugged for his Oh Fuck Rucksack...

mignonette · 09/09/2013 21:19

Do they not have headlights in the countryside? Country folk are pretty good at driving without street lights yet according to the script writers, cars crash.

mignonette · 09/09/2013 21:20

How would the mobile phone network operate without power? Wouldn't the masts need power to operate?

nipersvest · 09/09/2013 21:25

watched a bit - got bored - turned it off - blackout! Wink

jemjelly · 09/09/2013 21:27

Its all a bit daft, I understand the panic and the food shortages but I think mignonette is right mobiles would be down.

bluecheque4595 · 09/09/2013 21:34

Im enjoying watching this and turning to my dh on a regular basis and asking him, "When did this happen? were you there at the time?" and he patiently explains, "No its fiction" but I keep asking just for shits and giggles.

ballroomblitz · 09/09/2013 21:37

The mobiles are down aren't they? It's like a retrospective account using the videos people have recorded at the time of the blackout. At least that's what I thought was happening.

ballroomblitz · 09/09/2013 21:43

Oh there we go about the mobile masts. I must of missed the phone calls when I was settling the baby. I'm feeling a bit dense as I wouldn't have thought about the electricity pumping the water or the cash machines going down.

NickyNackyNooNoo · 09/09/2013 21:50

I got bored, so as someone else said upthread - blackout here too Wink

Some of them made phone calls. That's what I thought was odd. And some were online.

LittleNoona · 09/09/2013 21:52

Am I the only one getting far too into this?! It's scary!! Imagine this were to happen?

Gah! The adrenaline!

BOF · 09/09/2013 21:53

Ooh, VERY strong language? I wonder what counts?

It's very realistic, I think.
