It's back, beginning on 15th September on WATCH. This year should be interesting as apparently they have made changes to the format that didn't' go down too well with viewers. Anyway I'm looking forward to spending time with George, Gary and Matt for the next few months.

We can't wait!

Changes to the format will be interesting. I deliberately haven't read anything online as last year DS googled and fund out the winner!

Ooh can't wait, thanks for posting. I'm still finishing MC Ireland which I recorded so will need something to fill the gap. I love MC anything but Ireland is good. Does anyone else watch it? Don't tell me the winner!

Love this, have a couple of books from former contestants.

Amazing! The last series got me through many hours of breastfeeding my twins. And this series should hopefully see me through the winter.

Ooh we've just finished watching it! It's another great series. The challenges are brilliant this year. DH and I both felt the cooking was nowhere near as good as previous years; this intake just didn't seem as talented, but there ate some great characters and really lovely people you'll grow to be very fond of.

I'm not in the UK and we've just had episode 2, it's good. Is it on weekly in the UK, we get it every night.

I've just finished watching it too, was fantastic as usual! Think it will prob be on 6 nights a week like last series - once a week would take over a year as there are something like 65 episodes! Looking forward to seeing what the wise ladies of mumsnet think of the contestants and challenges!

Hoorah! Thank you for this thread - I was worrying that a new series would start, and I'd miss it - but it is on series link, ready to go!

I am now worried about these format changes - I really hope they haven't ruined it - I love the old format.

It's annoying that it's been shown already though, as I like to try the recipes and googling means I might come across the winner.

No I promise it gets better! The whole boy/girl thing was a bit annoying but once that week was passed it improved.
Anyone want to make an early prediction? Would be interested to see if anyone picks the actual winner (don't worry, won't give it away!) The few that I initially liked in the first few episodes ended up doing well but I would jog have guessed the winner.

I do NOT like angry-face-sweary-man (can't remember his name - it might be Michael). He can go soon, please.

Nicky was very annoying, standing around supervising, and not getting his hands dirty at all.

I didn't know you couldn't whip sour cream, so I did feel a bit sorry for the dessert boys.

Ad I am utterly Shock at the cost of living in Australia - I thought I saw one of the boys hold up a bagful of sprouts (it was certainly some sort of green veg) and say that was $10!!

AnotherWorld · 17/09/2013 16:17

From now on he shall be called angry-face-sweary-man. Tis a better name than Michael anyway.

Just caught up whilst suffering with heartburn on the sofa. I like it - hated most of the first episode though!
