Chatting to DH the other day and he asked if I fancied a drink. I said 'just the one.' Both of us looked at each other and said simultaneously, 'Just the one, Mrs Wembley' a line from On The Up. Started me thinking of old programmes that I'd like to see again...not necessarily for their quality, just for nostalgia. Anyone got any (that haventbeen on UKTV Gold Grin )

What was the one with Paul Nicholls in when he was with the posh lady? I used to enjoy that.

I also used to love Moonlighting. It was the highlight of my week, but it hasn't stood the test of time unfortunately. Though I'd like to be able to go back and watch it for the first time again.

Drama: Our friends in the North

Comedy: A series in the 90s which starred Paul Kaye (and he wrote it, I think) when he was some cock-sure bloke working in an office. I thought it was hilarious, but I think it was only me that did Sad...

I loved a BBC series called 'Your Cheating Heart' it had Tilda Swinton in it and the young man from 'Gregory's Girl'. But then I felt like that about the Goodies until I saw a re-run!

Brookside-

just been reading the other soap posts how they draaaaag out a storyline or it happens overnight.

Brookie seemed to have it just right WRT the timing.
(EG in Brookie : Jackie Dixon had a surrogate baby for Max and Suzanna Farnham, who then had their own biological child.
In Corrie - it's "I want a baby-ok ask Tina- OK I'll do it"

The Terry/Barry/Nanny storyline. She marries Barry to stay in the UK, he wants a baby
In Eastenders - Phil drives off the Dover or somewhere, meets Nadia, marries her just like that

We'll Meet Again. Drama set in WW2 about US airmen stationed in UK. Anyone else remember it? Must have been in early 80s?

Stella Street (best comedy ever after Father Ted, but hardly anyone has ever heard of it or seen it).

Was also extremely fond of The Larry Sanders Show.

Yy to our friends in the north. Favourite tv ever!

Paul Kaye was in another thing with Michelle Collins - 20000 acres of sky? I loved it. I just love PK though. Also down to earth the first ones with Pauline quirke and warren somebody were great.
