Netflix has become my friend in insomnia, up to now I've watched all of Californication, and have just finished working my way through Dexter which I absolutely loved. Can somebody give me some inspiration as what to try next.

I've tried Breaking Bad in the past, but couldn't get past episode 3, I've seen 24 before. I can't get Netflix USA on my iPad so it's got to come off the UK list.

Survivors.

I've just started watching it, it's good up to now. Just finished Dexter too.

You might like Justified. Think it's in a similar style to Dexter, although I haven't given that a proper go yet.

I didn't get into Breaking Bad until I skipped to episode 6 of season 1 (when things really get going) and then I was totally hooked.

Breaking Bad is always slow at the beginning of each series but then ramps up the action. I am counting down the days until the last 6 episodes. I'm even considering a Breaking Bad marathon of all the episodes before then.
We are watching Arrested Development all over again before we start the 4th series.
I couldn't get into Justified but I might start again.
Next on our list is Borgia which is meant to be good.

I realise I now watch too much TV, Sons of Anarchy, Prison Break, Lie to Me I've watched. I loved the original UK series of House of Cards so maybe I'll try the American version that's on there. Damages does catch my eye now you've come to mention it. I tried Borgias too, but got bored by episode 3.

I've heard lots about Arrested Development. I think maybe I need to slow down on the murdering programmes because while I've loved Dexter, when I have finally managed to get some sleep I've dreamed about murdering ExH violently Grin

I've recently been watching buffy the vampire slayer and waking the dead, there's just so much on there I want to watch!

House of cards on netflix is totally amazing, do try that.

I've been watching a lot of documentary films on netflix, like man on wire, bowling for columbine etc.

Oh yeah, forgot House of Cards. Fabulous. Documentary Mugabe and the White African had me crying my eyes out.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Weeds yet. It's one of my favourite series.

The West Wing (old I know but still fantastic)
Six Feet Under (as above)
Southland (LA police drama. Love it. Don't know a single other person who's seen it!)
Luther (oooh! Idris Elba! New series starting this week too)
The Walking Dead

I'd second sticking with Breaking Bad. It is SO good.

I watch it through my TV, a Samsung internet enabled. My viewing life has been transformed, used to rarely watch TV, now can't tear myself away

Forgot Modern Family, brilliant, if you just want a laugh for half an hour

Ours is a Sony, can't get it through TV, not compatible apparently. Have to use laptop connected to TV or on mobile phone.

Breaking Bad is amazing. I too found the first few episodes hard going but it really is worth persevering! Cannot wait for the last episodes.

I have also enjoyed Nurse Jackie, and Lost is always worth re watching.

Anjou, Six feet under isn't on Netflix is it?
