So excited. We're we starting to see cracks in the marriage last season? I hope we see more of Betty this time.

He likes independent or intelligent women like, Midge, Rachel, Dr Faye and the hippy teacher for long affairs, I think he likes to be challenged. (although he does seem to shag anything that moves as well).

He's not an indiscriminate shagger as Roger though, remember the twins from the first season - he ended up actually riding one around the office shock

I love Roger more than I love Don. Roger can do no wrong.

Mona looks so much better since they got divorced, I wonder why grin

TheAccidentalExhibitionist Fri 12-Apr-13 09:16:21

Roger reminds me of a horny teenager but with the wit and sharpness that shows his age. I love him too and relish every scene that he's in.

Has series 5 been on Atlantic? I thought that was series 4? I've been hunting on sky go for series 5 but it ends with series 3 then straight into 6. Very very confused.

Is Pete still married?

IdaBlankenship Fri 12-Apr-13 14:13:01

Yes - Pete is still married AFAIK. I don't think Trudie would let him leave her!
Roger definitely gets the best lines, Don isn't the witty type - more strong and silent. I'd rather be trapped in a lift with Roger, Don would probably barely muster up basic conversation (although he would be easier on the eye).
Corrie yes, Season 5 was on Sky Atlantic. Maybe Sky Go is only showing earlier seasons so that the more recent seasons on DVD can still be flogged?

TheAccidentalExhibitionist Fri 12-Apr-13 15:27:38

Corrie after season 5 sky Atlantic went back to the beginning of the show. They got up to the end of season 3 before season 6 started.

TheAccidentalExhibitionist Fri 12-Apr-13 15:30:06

I hope Petes wife has left him - although she doesn't seem the type to leave or divorce. She just puts up with a shit for a husband instead.

The scene I think in season 3 when he rapes the next door nanny because he feels she owes him after he replaced a stained dress, just awful.

Lighthousekeeping Fri 12-Apr-13 15:35:41

Isn't he married to Trudy irl?

mixedmamameansbusiness Fri 12-Apr-13 15:43:50

Beyond distraught that I don't have the channel and will have to wait forever for the box set.

kneedeepindaisies Fri 12-Apr-13 15:52:01

Lighthouse I think he is marrying the woman he had an affair with last season in real life. She had electric shock treatment and her husband punched Pete on the train.

CorrieDale Fri 12-Apr-13 16:29:43

Box set it is then ...

IdaBlankenship Fri 12-Apr-13 16:42:07

Alexis Bledel - her off of the Gilmore Girls

Lighthousekeeping Fri 12-Apr-13 17:29:52

Ah, I must be getting mixed up with Roger. I'm sure one of them is married to their wife in real life.

I have mixed feelings about this weeks. Perhaps it was just the length of it.

IdaBlankenship Fri 12-Apr-13 18:05:55

Ugh Accidental I'd mentally blocked out the nanny rape. That's what I love about Mad Men though, in another show Pete would just be an out and out bastard, but the show just keeps giving us enough to stop us hating him outright. He veers between utterly hateful and misunderstood.

Ladytron Fri 12-Apr-13 18:23:39

Lighthouse yes Roger is married to Mona in real life. She used to be married to George Clooney...
I find Betty mumbles a lot and I had to have the volume turned right up. Was the girl with the violin her husband's daughter?

And I never cease to be shocked by Don and his shagging! I was waiting for Megan to ask him where he'd been!

Wish Lane was still in it tho sad

IdaBlankenship Fri 12-Apr-13 18:58:15

Yes - unless he showered when he got back which would have been suspicious he must have smelled of adulterous sex!

Lighthousekeeping Fri 12-Apr-13 21:09:47

Lucky Mona grin

kneedeepindaisies Fri 12-Apr-13 21:21:37

I'm starting to feel a bit jealous of Mona smile

Lighthousekeeping Fri 12-Apr-13 21:30:54

Me too.

I take it Betty has lost her baby weight and that's a fat suit she's wearing?

kneedeepindaisies Fri 12-Apr-13 22:12:54

Yes it's a fat suit. She's lost her real life baby weight.

I'm watching it again with DH. Roger with the psychiatrist is so funny.

IdaBlankenship Fri 12-Apr-13 22:22:01

I assume it was dodgy hair Roseanne-era George, rather than silver fox George though?

Lighthousekeeping Fri 12-Apr-13 23:02:20

Maybe she made him the man he is! Look who's got a real silver fox now envy

TheAccidentalExhibitionist Sat 13-Apr-13 06:09:05

Bloody hell, Mona was married to two gorgeous men? envy
I'll look at her in a new light now!

I wondered about whether January Jones was in a fat suit. They seem to have aged her a great deal. The clothes add to that of course.
I know they have jumped to the late 1960s but how much of a jump is it since season 5?

IdaBlankenship Sat 13-Apr-13 09:05:34

I think its only supposed to be 6 months on?
