Tempted to pull an all nighter and watch the oscars as I don't have work tomorrow. Is anyone else or am I a fool who will be sorely disappointed?

Punkatheart Sun 24-Feb-13 15:25:24

Best film will be Life of Pi

Best Actor will be Dan Day-Lewis

What else do you need?

RedPencils Sun 24-Feb-13 15:28:35

I've stayed up to watch it once but it was so long I fell asleep before they got to the big awards.
Record it and watch the highlights tomorrow.

BeckyBrandon Sun 24-Feb-13 15:48:55

I want to see the les mis lot sing..

RedPencils Sun 24-Feb-13 21:23:05

What channel is it on?

ChocolateCremeEggBag Sun 24-Feb-13 21:46:52

E! has the red carpet And Sky Oscars channel, I used to love staying up and watching it all, but forgot to book tomorrow off work

I'm aiming to stay awake but will probably nod off (and I have a poorly dd too).
I'll say best film will be Argo.
Best actor will probably go to D. Day Lewis
I'm a bit meh about the rest.
I like the frock-talk though wink

Oh you beat me to it!! I'll stay up a while, but not sure ill make it to the end. Ds is likely to be up at 6 when dh goes to work. I will at least watch the red carpet!

Bradley cooper, Hugh jackman, and other shexshy men in tuxedoes!

Sky living has red carpet coverage from 11.30 too. Might be better and less "American"!

I want to see the les mis cast singing and catherine zeta jones apparently singing from Chicago (10 years ago, wow, I feel old).

I hope Hugh Jackman wins, but I doubt it.

Lincoln dragged on, so I'd be disappointed if it won.

If I wanted hair the same colour as Kelly Osborne what colour would I have to ask for?? Mauve?

I'm on E! It's Oscartastic!

Couldn't care about the awards, the RC is the real event.

Plus this year STAIRCAM!

<faints>

My dad (84) said by the time Lincoln died he was ready to do it himself.

My mum (76), auntie (70) and uncle (84) all slept through.

They have date night having met 54 years ago.

Glaikit I reckon "old lady coloured" would nail it.

foofooyeah Sun 24-Feb-13 22:40:00

Pu this on reminder but I am cream crackered so will have to leave you to it I think.

Southeastdweller Sun 24-Feb-13 22:41:43

I don't want Lincoln to win Best Picture. It was the dullest film I'd seen for ages.

Looking forward to seeing the dresses and perving on Bradley and Hugh! And the James Bond bit with Shirley Bassey.

Maybe, but its not the same as Phyllis from corrie though!

EnjoyResponsibly Sun 24-Feb-13 22:51:04

G clearly cannot move from the waist down in that dress.

Who is the guy?

Love the monkey!! grin

EnjoyResponsibly Sun 24-Feb-13 22:54:31

The monkeys got veneers from the same dentist as Ryan and G.

So many adverts!!

BeckyBrandon Sun 24-Feb-13 23:01:46

Lighthousekeeping Sun 24-Feb-13 23:05:29
