I assumed it was Rick having another hallucination and that it was Lori in her wedding dress too.

What the hell????? That was rather underwhelming.

OK why are Glenn and Rick psycho all of a sudden? And Darryl..... WHY?????? I thought Carol's reaction was heartbreaking. And Rick was all comforting until he stepped back into the prison and went mental.
And when Carol talked about her own abuse to explain why Darryl left? So sad. I love Carol. The way she silently comforted creepy goatee guy when he realised Oscar had died was really touching too.

Andrea marginally redeemed herself with the Armageddon speech but why the fuck is she so attached to Philip? He told her she was a stranger, he lied to her about capturing and holding her friends, he keeps heads in jars and his zombie daughter chained up in his bedroom (more or less) and he arranges psychotic gladiatorial combats with pet zombies. Her response? 'Don't do that. Don't push me away.' I'd love to see her reaction if she ever finds out that he was sleeping with everyone in town. She thinks she's so speshul.

Funniest moment? Andrea wimpily standing by injured guy while people are begging her to do something. Governor storms out of his house, shoots guy in the head and storms back in without a world. It nearly endeared me to him.

And did anyone notice Darryl saving that little girl from the zombie as he was running away? Aww.

So does Daryl escape in the new episode?

I agree, anon, it was a bit of an anticlimax after the last episode and a 2 month wait!

I just knew Daryl would side with Merle...just how long will we have to play the will he/won't he return thing until he comes back to the group? If I was Maggie, I'd have made sure I accidentally put a bullet in Merle during the confusion of the rescue mission.

Loving Tyrese (is that right?). If I were one of the prision group, I think I'd be ditching the increasingly bonkers Rick in favour of him.

So what happens?! Does the governor spare them?!

Rick etc. rescue them but no-one wants Merle as part of the group so Daryl has to choose and he goes off with Merle.

And then Rick goes mad. He sees the ghost of Lori in the shadows wearing her wedding dress.

And governor sulks after the others escape and when his people freak out basically tells Andrea he doesn't give a shit if they all leave and get eaten. Very mature.
Oh and he tells Andrea that her friends were captured by Merle who was trying to find out where his brother was. Funnily enough he doesn't mention the part about him threatening to rape Maggie.

Aha! Thank you - I'm too impatient to wait. As long as Daryl escapes! I think they should have accepted Merle - yep he is a lowlife dog but they did chain him to that rooftop in series 1 so lots of stuff on both sides.

Can't wait to see it.

Merle makes Shane look like Herschel! There is no way they could trust him around women and a baby.
He also abused Darryl for years as seen last season in the flashback episode. He's a psycho.

In fact when they start discussing his fate right after they escape he's already leering at Maggie and making racist comments to Michonne. Until (and I forgot this hilarious part) Rick just knocks him unconscious to shut him up.

Merle also tried to kill Michonne and tortured Glenn and Maggie (tried to kill Glenn by setting a walker on him). Hardly the sort of behaviour that was going to endear him to the group.

No way rick could accept Merle, especially after what he did to Glenn. I think it would have destroyed the group.
What carol was saying made sense and tbh it would have been unbelievable for daryl to walk away from his brother straight away.
Daryl will rejoin the group eventually but I think we will be subjected to a few unpleasant scenes with him and Merle first

You are probably right - I just don't want to lose Daryl! Lol
