You watch Easties?

VonHerrBurton Tue 18-Jun-13 19:56:19

Oh. My. God. Just when I thought there wasn't any more room for random TERRIBLE actors, along comes Hercule Vicar on tonights episode (tue).

I'm sure there are thousands of real French actors out there that would love a gig on EE.

Think im gonna give up on EE altogether smile

On a few unrelated issues.... I think Kat looks really good with red hair, and more subtle make up. It seems to have 'softened' her usually harsh appearance.

And I don't know if anyone agrees, but they seem to have chosen the actor who plays Peter well, he does have similar features to the actress who plays Lucy....although he's a lot less stuck up....

Yes yes. Lauren is totally vile. Spoilt brat. What has happened to her that is so bad?

It all started when her mum asked her to keep her cancer a secret, she couldn't handle being the only one knowing, and all the time thinking she was going to lose her mum, she had no one to confide in.

Pretty big bloody ask really & it is no wonder she is how she is. She took to drink to forget about her mum's illness & she couldn't get off.
Now no one want to help her sad

Not to me, I don't think that far ahead usually! And the other thing is she "knows him so well" she knows what to do to get him where it hurts. On the other hand, he is so full of self-loathing anyway, e.g. his provocation of Joey, perhaps she won't.

p.s. Forgot to mention, the other story/acting I liked. The one with Carol and her menopause/failure issue. I think its just done really well. She is such a sympathetic character, and somehow very real (makes a lot of the other characters look very silly and synthetic by comparison).

Last month (upthread) I predicted the Joey thumping Michael over Alice scenario <preens> I suppose it was obvious that was going to happen though.

ARealDame Sun 16-Jun-13 22:53:38

But it was convincing, Alice sitting so miserably in the pub, devastated. <The times I've done that over some useless bloke>.

But oh well sexy Michael, who could resist.

But she is a feeling girl yes, so very sweet. But I bet she could get very nasty now so scorned, Michael may have underestimated her. Still at least the sexual chemistry was convincing smile.

As it was the Omnibus I turned the sound down for everything else Zzzz grin.

1944girl Sun 16-Jun-13 18:26:17

Alice is really getting on my nerves. So sickly sweet and innocent she's beyond belief.Send her back home to her mummy please.
I have watched the omnibus, the scenes of alcoholic Lauren made me laugh. What's the betting she will be cured by next week.I know this does not happen.

About Janine/michael/scarlett.
How can it be right for one parent to take DC, leaving other parent not knowing where they are, if they are safe, when they can have contact?

Blondeshavemorefun Sat 15-Jun-13 18:07:42

MICHEAL did go cherry popping smile

Lauren is getting boring - same old storyline as phil - the way he came off booze and drugs was stupid

Solution to her drinking is obvious grin

Get the queen Vic - club - mini market and any restaurants ie Scarlett's etc all refuse to sell her booze

We all know no one ever goes out of the square to go clubbing - out socialising - work etc

The only one who did was Bradley and look what happened to him ........

cheerfulweather Sat 15-Jun-13 14:51:03

Lauren and drinking is boring. I've heard (was it on here?) that Tanya is leaving shortly, and I really hope she takes Lauren with her. It's tedious. Another repeat storyline. Was only a few weeks ago that the teenage Liam was locked in his house, too.

Can't believe the Kirsty and pregnancy storyline is still running. She would be found out by now surely!

lottieandmia Wed 12-Jun-13 17:13:55

Michael is interesting as you find yourself always trying to work out whether he has any redeeming qualities or not.

Lauren and the drinking is getting boring now. I agree that Max, Tania and the rest are no longer interesting to watch.

Shortbutsosweet Wed 12-Jun-13 12:42:13

I agree twll!
Micheal is bar far the best character on eastenders.
If he does sleep with Alice could it be because he wanted to " pop her cherry?"
I can't see any other benefit for him.

Blondeshavemorefun Wed 12-Jun-13 11:41:14

I didn't think Anthony did the deed with ALICE?

TwllBach Wed 12-Jun-13 06:32:07

Hmmm but Alice did say that it was her first time. Maybe Half Moon wasn't up to the job?

SinisterBuggyMonth Tue 11-Jun-13 22:54:48

No that was another Moon brother, Anthony or Half Moon as I used to call him.

Blondeshavemorefun Tue 11-Jun-13 22:47:52

So did MICHEAL pop Alice's cherry?

TwllBach Tue 11-Jun-13 20:13:33

I have said it before, but I will say it again. Michael is amazing.

Hoppus Tue 11-Jun-13 19:10:24

ALL of Ian's kids have been replaced now, without him noticing. Excellent parenting there. grin

rufussmum Mon 10-Jun-13 15:27:15

In TV review it says 'Alice spends night with Michael'. Might just be sleep on sofa thing though?

ARealDame Mon 10-Jun-13 13:56:53

Why do they force soap actors and actresses into these horrible slurpy French kisses? Little is left to the imagination; surely its "eww" for most viewers, and why should actors be forced to do this private act?

Anyway, enjoying the jokes here! I've stopped watching Eastenders for a while as I found the storylines very repetitive, Lauren getting drunk and moping around (again), Max and his wife getting down 'an dirty, etc. Will wait for the Christmas Special when things get good for a while grin.

HoobleDooble Sun 09-Jun-13 10:23:57

Nice to see Peter back, he's been away having head transplant surgery.

He is truly revolting. Poor Denise, having to kiss him!

Hadn't noticed Jack and Phil's lip-licking, but it will no doubt become a source of irritation now wink.

LineRunner Sat 08-Jun-13 18:22:32

Yes, Ian Beale and his Revolting Traits. When he was with Janine during her bizarre prostitute phase ...

cheerfulweather Sat 08-Jun-13 18:22:29

I haven't noticed that. I think Phil and Jack both do it, but after they've finished speaking. <shudder>

Has anyone else noticed the revolting way that Ian Beale often, just before he speaks, licks his lips? I can't unnotice it now, and have resorted to turning away when he's on. Bleugh!!
