Lewis was a bit Hathaway-Lite tonight.

He'd better feature extensively in the next episode or there will be trouble. On the other hand I'm glad Lewis has finally got his act together with Laura.
Can someone explain how the crooked policeman bloke managed to get away with what he did? (I was doing a tricky bit of knitting at that bit and missed what happened)
tried watching it twice, no success :-(
missed the first 10 minutes because of phone calls, couldn't catch up after that so switched off and waited for itv1+1 ... watched 25 minutes then dd was sick all over her bed :-(
I'm waiting for re-run through the week ... or iplayer ... hoping for better luck then.
I caught the last ten minutes. Hathaway with tan, Lewis and Laura snogging.
Marvellous
Lewis without Hathaway is bloody pointless, let's face it.
But....... Lewis and Laura!!!!! Yey!!!!!
I am very concerned that it means Hathaway is leaving and they are trying to wean us off him. Well I won't be weaned! And I didn't get why the dodgy copper got away with it either, I assumed he knew how to keep his hands clean or something.
I actually welled up in that episode
IT WAS JUST ALL SO LOVELY.
There will be another series won't there? I know we're only halfway <sob> through this one but they can't stop yet can they?
I just posted a thread in chat!! I saw the very end the last 5 minutes, do Lewis and Dr Laura GET IT ON??!!!
Globular - I think this is going to be the last series
- I read somewhere that the lovely Laurence Fox and Billie Piper are selling up and off to the US to seek their fortunes.
I suspect that ITV may start making more episodes of Endeavour (I think it was called - the one about Morse in his early years) after the pilot last year.
My prediction is that Robbie will take retirement and live happily ever after with Laura, and have lots of lugubrious Geordie sex, and Hathaway will become even more disillusioned and leave the police force to eventually become a cynical and crusty old academic, with a sixty a day habit.
Can't decide whether I'm more pissed at James's absence, or pleased at Robbie and Laura's snog. Innocent's face was fantastic
Can't wait for next week.
I've been waited for that snog for SO BLOODY LONG.
I actually cheered out loud. Alone. And then updated my facebook status about it
so they actually snogged??
thank goodness it took them bloody long enough.
I'd convinced myself that Robbie and Laura were off into the sunset and there would be a new series called Hathaway with the nice new bloke with hidden talents as his sidekick.
And now you've all spoilt it!
Yeah.
And SHE started it!
OMG I am sooo happy
I shall watch it on catchup tomorrow now with my happy face on. Is the snog at the end/middle/beginning? <wonders if it's reasonable to zoom through to the snog first>
Near the end, in the pub, in front of her madamness, and a very prettily sun burnt Hathers.
Oh I shall sooo zoom to the snog first
Oh, lovely! I about welled up just when they were holding hands and haven't got to the snogging yet (will watch the rest today) so there might well be tears. I am pregnant and hormonal so I so have a great excuse!
Felt like a series ending somehow. Don't like the 2-episode format , it loses momentum and a week is too long between to pick up the threads again.
I know, almost had me welling up too (ridiculous woman fgs!). It was the holding hands that did it!
now we just need the 2 in Death in Paradise to get it on aswell
I don't like it either LIZS. Much prefer 2 hours.
Laurence Fox said last year that the current series will be the last as both he and Kevin Whately felt it was time to move on. I'm assuming Lewis will retire, deciding he doesn't want to die on the job like Morse.
It was the moment when they went down to the canal boat and they didn't drop hands after Lewis helped her over the fence. You knew it WAS finally going to happen, just not totally sure how.
Interestingly, I know quite a few people who couldn't get on with Morse at all but who love Lewis. And yes, ITV are going to do more Endeavour instead, I believe.
I nodded off for the last 10 minutes... ARGH!
ITV player here I come!
Nice touch with Lewis having helped the new chap, DC Gray, as a teenager during his Virgin Islans stint.
But, oh, Lewis & Laura, finally!
Yes the holding hands did it for me <chokes up at memory> and then when she came running up and practically ATE HIS FACE OFF at the end...

we are a BUNCH OF SOPS lol
